Re: Should Gitmo Be Closed ASAP?

...you could argue that Benazir Bhutto might well be alive today if only Abdullah Mehsud had not been let loose from Guantanamo, where he plainly belonged, regardless of what the bleaters and hand-wringers thought about that.

But, as our Washington man James Gordon Meek today reports, Mehsud convinced somebody in charge down Gitmo way that he was naught but some poor innocent swept up in the fog of war and unjustly jugged. Such a big meanie the U.S. government was for persecuting so harmless a fellow. And so he went free, one of about 450 Gitmo detainees disimprisoned in the past few years.
    Freed to kill again

That was merely one example. What if the slimy bastard killed you or someone that you knew? And Bhutto was an important figure, wasn't she?

I have. And since almost every single detainee there is is a member of al Qaida, captured in Afghanistan, it is clear that they are blatantly misrepresenting the facts to defend terrorists, as they always do. When we've cleared terrorists or discovered that they were technically American citizens, we've treated them released them or prosecuted them.

Liberals have simply invented a controversy where there isn't one, again, to defend Muslim terrorists.

For enemies captured in a war, yes, such idiotic rooting for the enemy very much IS treasonous. We've recaptured dozens of these terrorists killing our troops again in Afghanistan.

Right. It is less terrible for innocent people AND THE DEMOCRATS WHO RELEASED TERRORISTS to get hurt by those terrorists than for just innocent people to get hurt. Democrats need to experience the consequences of their policies just once. It will turn them into Republicans overnight.

Objecting to non-stop Democrat treason is a sign of intelligence and self-preservation.

It was an honest misunderstanding by someone with an IQ above single-digits, who apologized. That's nothing like being grilled by ignorant half-wits who blame you for their mistakes and refuse to admit when they are wrong.

    Nice try.

Very amusing, to say the least.

Again I ask, would you rather we just keep them all locked up? That way, innocent people get screwed but you sleep soundly at night?

    Um...no.

The executive order was just signed today, and of the ones that were already released, dozens have already been recaptured fighting our troops with al Qaida. The families of every soldier that dies from this left-wing idiocy should have the right to sue the Democrats who got him killed.

There ARE no innocent terrorists captured on the battlefield killing our troops with al Qaida. Releasing even one is madness.
