    Agnostic. Like myself.

It's not that I don't believe in god, I just don't fully subscribe to any set "Religions" path.

Put quite nicely in "Hot Fuzz"

I'm open to the concept, I'm just not entirely convinced.

Correct, operative word “you“; to have belief YOU must have self-awareness.

    The claim was:

“Atheism is not a belief.” (Hatuey)

“: one who believes that there is no deity”
    atheist - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary {see last sentence}

“No. Atheism is not a belief. I know I'm an atheist. You can not believe in atheism because there is nothing to believe in. No Gods, religious doctrines, laws etc. Why is it that you can say you believe in God, Allah, Shiva whomever but I can't say : I believe in atheism? There's your answer. Atheism is not a belief.” (Hatuey)

“...when based on examination of evidence...”
belief - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

If a lack of evidence is enough for thinking something, it is a belief. If he knows he is an atheist he either knows there is no God or he believes there is no God; if one believes it is a belief, if one knows they should share the evidence of what lies everywhere in the universe.

“Since you have no belief, therefore, you do not exist.”

    “I don't believe I exist. I know I exist.” (Hatuey)

The operative words in the argument were the words “you,” as in self; I think, therefore, I am.

    {By the way I am Hatuey’s Dreen, and I was drunk when thought him up.}

The atheist has a belief in no god, or an arrogant knowledge most likely unable to explain the uncertainty principle or quantum computers, but the agnostic does not know. If the atheist does not have a belief they are ignorantly an agnostic or they possess a belief that they have knowledge (kept from many). Even the agnostic believes they do not know, but that does not qualify as a belief/faith.

“1: a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable ; broadly : one who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god
agnostic - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

I wish they would at least link to the “liberal” dictionary they use...it might make debate easier.

Wrong. I don't "believe there is no god". I simply lack belief in any god. Atheism is "I don't believe", not "I believe".

That sounds more like agnostic, and not atheist.

Disbelief graduates to a belief when “disbelief” says something does not and cannot exist anywhere; Atheism it is not a lack of any belief it is belief unless you have proof.

Have you been to any of the other universes yet? How do you know there is no God in any of them?

I am just trying to be nice and preserve that other member’s tax exempt status. I am sure the advanced accounting department of the IRS will “splain” to you it is not a belief, but what the hell:

    First Church of Atheism

PS. If I disappear I might still believe in God, and it may not be my..., it might be my disbelief in Debate Politics Forum’s official Prophet.

No, I have no doubt in my lack of belief in any gods, fairies, the easter bunny, santa, or cupid. I don't believe in any of them.

Incorrect, it is a lack of belief. I know this because I am an atheist.

Not yet, but I hope to one day. If there is a god/dess in any of them, I certainly hope he/she's not the bastard described in some of our ancient fairy tales.

I don't need them to 'splain to me it's not a belief. I already know quite well that it's not.

Those people are idiots just trying to prove a point.

Of course I (like every member here) believes that with the variety of beliefs, and although that we had some arguments most of the time, but we still hadn't lost the soul of respectful discussion and debate .

Infact I got confused for some time about ordering the religions in the poll, but I took the order from the "World Percentage Of Adherents By Religion" so no one could say that Iam Biased to any religion.

Note: You are not forced to vote !
I believe the universe is full of life and it is just another human stepping stone to discover it. Not too long ago people on parts of the planet believed the world was flat, the sun revolved around the earth, etc. So this is just the next step.

That being said I still cannot rule out the possibility of there being a God of somekind because everything had to start somehow. So yes, I like to believe there is a God.

Sorry, not sure what religion that would be under?

I am an atheist. I define atheist to mean just that, without theism.

I bet you would refuse to compromise on that definition, too.
