Uh, no you cannot "say the exact same things about you that you say about me" because unlike you I am not falsely characterizing my personal attitudes and perceptions as the truth or as reality.

I mean, you're the one saying you have the truth and Americans cannot just accept it, hence they pull the victim card...

Not really..

Humoring...

Maximus, you are about as ignorantly anti-American/pro-European as most Americans are ignorantly pro-American. The only difference is the object of your ignorance, which is largely irrelevant. You're just as bad as the people you are trying to criticize.

Now since your debating has become so pathetic, I actually never care about what you say..

Its DEFINITELY a socialist concept.. What is "leftist" anyways?

Universal health care - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the 1880s, most citizens in Germany became covered under the mandatory health care system championed by Otto von Bismarck. The National Health Service (NHS), established in the United Kingdom in 1948, is considered the world's first universal health care system provided by government.

The only people who claim that universal health care is a socialist concept are people who do not realize that a large sick population regardless of the economic model a society uses does not benefit anybody.

Well I'm addressing directly where your "debating" comes from. Your agenda is just on a different side of the same coin as American nationalists.

When you keep making threads about how America sucks and how Europe is better, you're just begging for someone to call you out on it.

Hey!!! That's the same line you used on me yesterday.

I didn't use that line on you.. You don't deserve it yet. Your debating is not pathetic like the one I referred to. Perhaps one of my intelligent answers made you feel pathetic?

Your clearly understand NOTHING of what I am saying.

Closed minded-ness is going to be a huge problem the next 100 years, thats my prediction. ;)

Are Americans "allergic" and get "seizures" if someone mentions a reality about America which isnt positive?

Interesting question, because many Americans use the "victim" card every time someone says someone about America which isn't positive, and always brand it "anti-American", justifiably or unjustifiably. The question really is, do Americans call the "anti-American" "victim" card to easily?

Not really, Americans i have met in London seem as critical and in some cases more critical of US and its actions than me. They did have a dip for a few years but now its back.

To the "Far Left" is Communism (not as Marx had imagined it, but a mixture of Maoism, Leninism, etc.), next is Socialism, followed by Feminism (different than the Feminist movement), then Liberalism, in the middle is Centrist, then Conservatism, Fundamentalism, and finally Fascism (the Far Right).

Fascism is not a ringt-wing phenomenom. Certainly, we have been taught that fascism is right-wing, but that's the results of years of historical revisionism. The origins of fascism as a right-wing ideology starts in the 30s when communists sought to discredit fascists and they attempted to do so by calling it right wing. The only problem is that fascism shares far more in common with socialism and communism than anything on the right.

This is how it is taught in most introductory college courses. You have to realize however that American Conservatism is much more Liberal than Classical Conservatism (as taught by Hobbes and Burke).

These are contradictory statements. Yes, we are taught from high school through general survey course work in college that fascism is a right-wing ideology. However, if we recognize that contemporary American conservatism is classical liberalism, then you cannot simultaneously hold that fascism is a right-wing, i.e., liberal, ideology. You just cannot.

You are just completely wrong.. I just think the EU is the most modern and progressive government we have in the west, possibly the world.. That has nothing to do with being a fanboy, because I am certainly skeptical towards it also.
Looking at the current political systems is like trying to lick a fresh poo in the bottom of the toilet, its just unbearable, because its so horrible.

If modern and progressive is to represented by the EU's elitism and attempts to completely undermine democracy and national sovereignty in Europe, well, you can have that modernity and progressivism all to yourselves.

I note that you still have nothing at all to say about the EU's attempts to bypass national sovereignty and democratic processes in order to impose the EU Constitution on the European people via treaty negotiations. Why not?

Two completely different issues.

Universal health care is a socialist model. That doesn't change no matter if you advocate such a model or cite the consequences you perceive from not imposing such a model.

What is "socialist" to you?

Its sharing of resources to put it simple, that everyone work for the greater good. With free health care everyone contribute(to make it free) and everyone is entitled to receive(for free).
That however doesn't mean that a country with free health care is completely socialist, but free health care is definetely a socialist function and concept.

What don't I understand, then?

Because every time you describe what I say, you have clearly misunderstood. Most of the time it actually seems you do this on purpose just to be a jackass.

In Europe fascism is DEFINITELY a right wing thing. It is only endorsed and promoted by the far right, often the same people who fear other cultures, races and so on, and people who are against socialism and communism in all forms.. Often these people are more pro-American than the general European people, because they support such things as the free market and capitalism so strongly. As for democracy I dont know their stands on this, but certainly the neo-fascists(possibly not the same as the people described above) are strongly in favor of ONLY democracy, and keep nagging on about it like nothing else existed, or that a mixed type of government isnt possible.. Thats just my experience with European fascists, and my knowledge about them in general. They also tend to be nationalistic(often pro local), and anti EU.

Hey, the Lisbon strategy deeply bothers me as well.. But please, really.. What is so damn good about democracy, please let me know, write a list or something why a society should be completely a democracy, and not a democracy with a mix of other state forms as well.. Having a partly elitist government is a damn good thing, having one party with independents like China is better than having a two sided multi party system or a straight two party system, which always just fights the other side, rather than for the people and the nation.
I will not say the negatives about democracy until you have given me the list and reasons why democracy is so fantastic in your opinion.. Please already leave out that it empowers the people, because it doesnt really, it certainly do not empower the individuals. Now please tell me why we should not mix a bunch of other things into democracy to make a more hybrid model to remove the weaknesses of democracy and introduce the strengths of other models.

Stage is yours...
