Captain Courtesy's smacks. For they are courtious. And that makes them the best.

I'm pretty sure it is I whom he called a troll.

"what is your name?"
"what is your quest?"
"what is the air speed velocity of a swallow?"

:doh it's an "unladen" swallow, genius. you know--not carrying the coconuts for Patsy.

:2razz:

I think the only line from me that'd I 'truly' consider smack is when I said that every time I debate mihkail I feel like I'm throwing a puppy off a cliff. Other then then that I'm just trying to be mean.

Sheer scathing smack-mastery belongs to jallman. He can cut someone to the b.o.n.e. in 10 syllables or less. Sometimes it makes my eyes burn--like reading it is to subject oneself to a high velocity acid spray. It hurts. --even when directed at someone else.

I agree hes crude, lurid and very rude but- only to make up for his deficiencies:mrgreen:

Paul.

Dang it! Now nearly everyone is tied.
The only reason I'm still a point ahead of everyone else is because I voted for myself.

Damn! I wanted to be a troll. I guess we Orcs never get any internet love. :(

You are one of the people who definetely CAN orc on the internet AT WILL, if its any comfort you can be pretty good at that. But trolling, nah.. :stooges

the teacher mops the floor with yer whole list

- NCFY
- Lerxst
- Middleground
- Americanwoman
- Galenrox

All great at smack too...

galenrox and I went at it for months back in the day...
He was relentlessly funny and every post was a smack filled smackfest.
I obviously forgot some really funny and good smackers.

Tashah is right, there are all types of smack, and that is why I left option Ten open.

Quatro is right, nominating myself is goofy, but I know that I am good at smack, what can I say. I would have left myself off and put on one of the above too, but I couldn't remember more than 8 funny smackers at the time.

I think that Tucker is the flat out funniest son of a bitch that I have ever read here at DP. It is non-stop and he hits a bulls eye almost every time.

CC is one of the best at explaining something intelligently and patiently, all the while smacking his client around passive aggressively, funny ****.

1069... not sure what happened, I used to think that she tried too hard, but recently, last few months her style has changed. It is more witty, clever IMO. She is certainly in the top of the class too.

Talloulou... again, intelligent smack.

Lerxst is another champ. haven't seen him around lately either.

Lots of good smackers... good thread IMO.

Who is the best "Smacker" here at DP?
This is a DP Wide thing. Smack takes place everywhere...

Smack can be logical, it can be emotional, it can be short, reasoned, dry or flat out crude.
I haven't been around much, so I gave up the title years ago...

Great, put up a list of big libs. Looks like a mutual admiration society.

Kali. An incisive wit coupled with a scathing vernacular. I pity anyone who engages this intellectual leviathan in a verbal fencing match.

I can't vote for just one. I'm in awe of IT, 10, Lerxst, jallman, NCFY, Bodhi.

YOu guys should open your your own school of smack.

Alright, I'm going for off the wall here since this is upstairs smack...

DonSutherland.

Seriously, is there anything truly better than watching someone flying off the handle, doing a completely emotional argument, and in swoops Don. Smooth, calm, collected. He's like a professor mixed with a great speaker, generally hitting just the right length and with pure, unflappable confidence in his facts and logic. Its kind of like seeing Jordan spotting some cocky kid 9 points in a game to 10, coming back effortlessly, and then watching as he toys with the kid as he tries to put up pitiful shot after shot before he finally ends the game.

Its sophisticated smack.

I like him too

He is one of the rare members who don't post ad-homs in the M/E forum, and even if he is more pro-Israeli than me, I like debating with him. He usually brings good arguments with good sources

Hey! I ain't no lib! :(

And I don't think Jallman, Talloulou and Bodhi qualify either.

Correct... I am certainly not a liberal.

Great point Zyphlin! Don is smooth.

I was torn between jallman and IT2002. They both have made me laugh out loud.

I chose IT2002 because the quarter was heads.

Is it strange that I look forward to reading your posts? Your sentence structure and word usage is superb and it would appear that we agree on most subjects. At least I can take consolation in the fact that I am not the only American with a passion for the English language.

Thankfully we have websites like this where intelligent and thoughtful dialogue are encouraged rather than frowned upon. The last vestiges of expressive language it seems...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must sojourn to the living room, "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" is on.

I concur. I am only 19 years old so I am extremely eager to see my thought processes, vocabulary and general intelligence improve and progress over the next couple of years.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must sojourn to the living room, "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" is on.

You made me spit Dr. Pepper all over myself. Thanks for that. :2wave:
