People are unquestionably free to live polygamous lifestyles, I can't see any reason for prohibiting a polygamous marriage.

I just don't think the state should formally recognize such marriages, as they are damaging to society.

The monogamous marriage's divorce rate would like to have a word with you.

There was an article in the paper the other day about a guy who was under 25 years of age, no job, and yet had something like 30 kids. Who do you think is paying for those kids, and what kind of upbringing do you think they'll get? [see thread below about "disadvantaged" kids and their educational prospects].

What does that have to do with polygamy?

One vagina can be just as much of a clown car as 5 of them. This isn't about having multiple kids, it's about having multiple wifes.

We are not monogamous creatures, and clearly monogamy is doing it's own jub damaging society.

I'd go to the trouble to teach you a little about probability, but am not sure it would be worth my time. If you're the intellectually curious sort, I invite you to read up.
