Thats exactly what GWB and his apologists don't understand. There is a HUGE difference between panicking and taking swift action. All you have to do is take a look at his face during those 7 minutes and you'll understand that his inaction was "panic" disguised as ineptness.

You're seeing what you want to see because your partisanship won't let you even consider the possibility that he may have been thinking.

He couldn't think. Cheney and Rove weren't there! :2rofll: :2rofll: :2rofll:

Your rabid partisanship really isn't that amusing. Attack the man's policies or actions, but don't attack him for not frightening a class full of school children while he thought about the gravity of the situation.

Attacking the man's "inaction" IS attacking his actions. His sitting on his ass had nothing to do with not frightening a class full of school children..that is just a sorry excuse to apologize for a man who hadn't a clue how to react to the first crisis he faced as President.

Yes, I doubt he was thinking, he was probably just more interested in "My Pet Goat."

Your partisanship is showing.

What possible good would storming out of his chair and frightening them done?
I truly doubt getting to Air Force 1 seven minutes sooner would have changed a damn thing.

What, you think doing his job would have damaged those kids forever? Give me a break. Our country was just attacked. He had no idea how bad it was or if it was even over. He just sat there like the imbecile he is biting his lip. I'm surprised we didn't hear him crying, "Mommy! Mommy, what do I do?"

He should have excused himself and acted like the President. You know, LEAD! But, that would be something he's never done, not in the entire 8 years he was in office. Without his brains with him he didn't have the first idea what to do. He was a puppet of Cheney and Rove and Rummy. He is a pathetic coward. It's only a matter of time before he pays for his crimes. Maybe a conviction. Maybe a pardon. Wouldn't that be interesting. It would stain his already dog poo smelling legacy even further into the mud.

You neo-cons are going to see how a real leader leads. You're going to see how a real leader gathers intelligence and actually "decides". This President actually reads. That must scare the dickens out of all of you. You can do the melon-head immitation all you want. The louder you cry, the more obvious it is you're scared. Neo-cons are dead in this country. Forever!

I agree that getting there 7 minutes earlier would not have made a difference. However, it doesn't change the fact that given his first crisis....Bush sat on his ass dumfounded because he didn't have someone telling him what to do. A sign of things to come during the course of his administration.

Nah....I won't be like you and your fellow Bush Apologists....when Obama does something wrong, I won't make excuses and try to justify everything that he does.
I'll bet otherwise.

One thing I expect from Obama is something that was sorely missing from GWB...a willingness to accept responsibility and be accountable to the people of this country. If Obama fails to do that...unlike you, I will not stand by and make excuses...I will be among the first that call on him to do the right thing.
Same as above.

Really? This seems like an ignorant claim. Just because I didn't outline the details for you doesn't mean I'm not familiar with them. Lack of evidence is not evidence of lacking.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and many within the Pentagon (to name a few) had sufficient evidence from the CIA to show that their justification for going to war was faulty. They manipulated and misconstrued the evidence and presented to the public information they knew to be highly suspect at best to bring our country to war.

Fiasco is an excellent overview of what occurred. Vincent Bugliosi presents an excellent case for prosecution of Bush for murder. Although it is an extreme goal, it could easily be used for war crimes as well.

Cheney has also admitted to authorizing water boarding. Water boarding is - by any conventional definition of the word - torture. We are signatories of the Geneva Convention which prohibits all forms of torture and under international law is considered a war crime. Therefore Cheney has admitted to authorizing warcrimes.

Violation of human rights under the Geneva Convention including, but not limited to torture and/or inhumane treatment (waterboarding), depriving a prisoner of war of a fair trial (GITMO), and unlawful deportation (Extraordinary rendition).

These are not "might be guilty", these are things we've admitted to doing. These are things the rest of the world views as crimes. It's not a matter of if they've committed war crimes, it a matter of whether we as a country have the balls to pursuit justice. It's a matter of identifying who had a role, and who should be held accountable.

I'm gonn be ticked if I find out we're not waterboarding people. Here's a question. If a known terrorist is holding a button that would set off a bomb in the oval office and Mr. Obama is there and you could stop it if you waterboarded him what would you do? Or maybe did "other things" to him (you know cigarette burns, pulling of nails, breaking fingers..that kinda stuff) What would you do?
What if it was your child that might die? Then what would you do?
There are alot of bad people in the world who would love to take our flag down and put up another one. If we don't realize that pretty quick then it could happen.....someone should have told the cowards who flew planes into the world trade center about the Geneve convention. then I bet they would have come to their senses, gave up and landed those planes.....huh

Swift action was taken, 7 minutes did not make the president heartless or dumbfounded, he had people on it and the children in the room were not panicked by the highest ranking official in the U.S. but I guess if he had scared the kids it would have been the right thing to do huh?
