I do not recall saying I respect any of these other examples you tossed out here and this thread is not about them
Let's try this again then...

It's not about respect for those individuals only... it is about respect for the
Executive Office regardless of who is President.
If you want to dislike Bush, that is fine, if you want him imprisoned, then that is fine too.
What you don't do, is disrespect the Executive Office
EVER by throwing a shoe at the President, nor by thinking that this action is justifiable or good.
Just support the Presidents removal and be done with it.
By doing what you are doing, or saying... it devalues the ENTIRE OFFICE.
So when Obama comes in, being President does not mean as much, nor is it as important or powerful of an institution, simply because you have double standards. You disrespect the Office sometimes, and not others based off of your emotions instead of differentiating.
If you wish to blindly respect folks simply based on a job? Knock yourself out but I will remain an adult that makes peeps earn their right to my respect:mrgreen:
Are you saying that my respectful and logical approach is childish, or something? :rofl
Again, it is
NOT about blindly respecting "folks", it is about having respect for the Exective Office of the United States of America.
That is all... I guess that does seem a bit immature, now that I think about it.
