Seriously? I'm in the military and have never met one person who thought it was a waste. I know a guy who lost both his legs and wishes he could go back.

I knew this would come up eventually. First of all, I was making a joke..get a sense of humor. Secondly, a lot of people accuse Bush of dodging the draft, but a lot of people also accuse Clinton, Cheney, Biden, etc. for the same thing.

I am sorry; my guess is that if you are going to make a joke, it should be funny?

Humor isn't a universal language and differs from person to person. I found it funny so I posted it. Trust me, you weren't my intended audience.

I find this analogy idiotic and based in ignorance because in order for it to have any credence, one would have to believe that Americans threaten their neighbors with invasion and terrorism.

Of course that is absurd just like this analogy so I guess giving you THIS much attention is also absurd.

Carry on; denial leads to ignorance, don't do denial.

No, Obama hasn't been a complete asshole in office for 8 years. Ask me again after Obama has been in office and earned it.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

And to answer the question, yes, he absolutely deserves to have shoes thrown at him everywhere he goes. If there was any justice in the world, he would be be bitten by children and peed on by dogs for the rest of his life. He needn't be punished with a Michael Bay kind of vengeance, but rather just a...sad...existence.
All because you don't like his politics; imagine a world where EVERYONE behaved like dolts, acted out their stupidity like this and thought like you do?

Once more these kinds of comments are proof that our education system is an abject failure and that we have become childish narcissistic mindless individuals wallowing in our own pathetic ignorance.

I do not do it anymore but I had one vet bawling almost after talking to him for a while. He didn't open up for a while but then admited that most of it was all bull**** and really ****ed up and made no sense what so ever. He felt incredibly duped by his own government. I could almost sense it. Almost like he felt evil because of the whole thing. I felt really bad for him. He ended the conversation with "Its up to people like you to tell um all."
    And this means what, exactly?

"Stop the presses! Extra-extra! Read all about it! Disillusioned war vet confides in dirtpoorchris!"
