I own a bunch of semi auto military styled rifles-I have shot thousands of rounds out of them-never killed anyone. Are my firearms defective? Assault rifles are banned-in 1934 on you cannot own one without the permission of your local law enforcement chief and after may 19, 1986, no more could be made for the civilian market. Did you know that the 1903 springfield and the 1898 Mauser were made for the same reason-and 90% of the hunting bolt action rifles in the USA are based on those actions?

That is rather stupid. But you knew that.

Yes, your logic carried to its logical extreme. Once again, since you apparently failed to read my prior post, a car is not manufactured to kill people. Certain guns and ammunition are designed exactly for that purpose. The comparison can only exist between weapons that were designed to kill human beings. And none of them should be legal.

When some barbarian breaks into your house with his blood engorged member to rape your daughter you will learn that some people need to be killed.

Would this barbarian have a gun? Or is it just peaceful, law-abiding citizens that own them?

Guns are designed to fire a projectile. They may be issued for anti-personnel usages. But the most popular military pistol in US history is also the most popular centerfire target pistol and the rifle that dominates centerfire target competitions is a version of the M16 rifle.

All military rifles have that intended use at some point. Every self defense handgun. I own guns like that for lots of reasons-one being if someone like you tries to impose your warped values on us.,
