Elections 2012 & 2016: In which country?

In which country?

.

They all have constituents in one country and are all citizens of one country. This website, I think, is based in the same country. Obama and McCain are both running for presidency in that same country. So there's only one country that should come to mind.

Hmm, I wonder which one?

Good question. :)

I think I'm just going to focus on this election till its over. Then I'll wait a couple of years before I worry about 2012.

I think Jindal, Clinton, Petreaus and Romney are all likely to run. Jeb Bush can try, but his chances are slim unless people have totally forgotten about the mess his brother presided over by then.

Out of the other four, if I really have to pick one, I think Clinton is most definitely going to run again.

Both Petraeus and Romney have publicly expressed interest in running in 2012. Clinton hasn't said anything yet, and I doubt she'll run in 2016. 2012, maybe.

Romney seems to think he can still save the day, so I voted for him in this poll.

If Petraeus continues to improve the situation in Iraq and it becomes the democratic country he hopes it will be, then yes I see the possibility of him making a strong run for the White House.

Clinton and Romney should both be shoe-ins when it comes to at least trying to run one more time.

The most well liked conservative in America will run, Sarah Palin.

Hillary has already said she won't run again, Jeb Bush? Oh hell no.

My thoughts: Clinton will not run. She's had her chance, and I think she realizes that. She'd just be seen as desperate. Also, she'd be too old in 2016.

Romney will run again. So will Huckabee. They both got too close to not want to go again, and there's no good reason for them not to.

Jindal will surely run in 2016. The base loves him, so there'll be a lot of noise.

Bush? NO chance in hell.

Romney.

Republicans have a tendency to nominate whoever is next in line. Who will that be in 2012? Romney or Palin. I think Romney could easily trounce her in the primaries, and is the most likely nominee for 2012.

Republicans even seemed to think that it was Hillary's turn and that Obama stole it from her.

It's funny, nobody was more hated by the republicans and now they defend her saying stuff like, "at least she's a real American and cares about the country."

Prediction: Obama wins 2008 election.

2012 Democrats: Obama unopposed by serious competitors.
2012 Republicans: Romney, Huckabee, Petraeus, Palin, Crist, Pawlenty, Perry and maybe Barbour.

Prediction: Obama v. Romney; Obama wins.

2016 Democrats: Bayh, McCaskill, Kaine, O'Malley, and Vilsack. Possibly Clinton, but I think she'll endorse Bayh. Obama will probably support McCaskill unless Sibelius makes a run. In order to do that though she'd have to win Brownback's open seat for Senate (good luck). Maybe Napalitano if she can win a Senate seat (maybe McCain's).
2016 Republicans: Jindal, Thune... after that have no idea.

Prediction: A woman (Clinton or McCaskill most likey) v. somebody old. Republicans tend to like old people. Woman wins.

You have to prioritize. Obama is the threat now, so anything potentially damaging to his chances is fair game.

Of course, the same could be said for the opposing side.

Jim Webb in 2012 when Obama loses in 2 weeks.

The dems need to stop using candidates that the gop can lable as lefties.

They won with Carter = white male from the south

They won with Clinton = white male from the south.

Get the picture?

If Obama is going to lose in two weeks, why is he dominating in almost every poll?

Looks like you are going to be really pissed when a black man takes the oath of office.

"None of the above".
This year I'll try to submit a paper ballot (people use this when they egotistically vote for themselves) and write this in.
In the year 3000, when election reform finally is passed, maybe this will be one of the options..

"What fools these mortals be"

"We need a president to be a leader of men"
Sadly, this cannot be in our screwball politically correct era..
