If Obama is elected, do you think federal spending will go up?
Why/why not?
Note:
2nd poll option should read:
My TAXES will not go up

(To be fair, I think it'll be the same thing under McCain as well)

As for everyone else? Note Obama does not say by what percentage he will cut taxes....
My guess, no tax cuts and a raise on me and people like me.

Or do you think enough discretionary spending will be cut to cover that growth?

I also guarantee federal spending will go up, as increases in entitlement spending will far outstrip any cuts in discretionary spending. |

Current Mood: | Re: Taxes/spending under Obama How much money do you think people on the board make? My taxes won't get higher under either McCain's or Obama's plan. Frankly both plans suck as they will result in higher deficits, but Obama's plan will result in slightly less debt.

Or do you think enough discretionary spending will be cut to cover that growth? | Sorry, I was thinking in rates, not monetary amounts. There will be increased spending, but not an increased rate of spending, IMO.
I think it'll be the same under McCain, though. |

| They will when the 2001/2003 tax cuts expire.
Unless, of course you think that Obama will see that they are extended. |
