That's like a woman putting her arms up in front of her face to defend against a rapist and the rapist demanding that she must have something to hide. It's not about being defensive over having something to hide. He's being attacked by a notorious group of witch hunters in Washington who invent partisan scandals and railroad anyone who gets in the way of Democrat power out of office. They're viscious and they don't give a damn about anyone's rights or the truth. It's the politics of personal destruction and anyone who plays their game gets destroyed, regardless of the facts.

By inventing partisan scandals and pretending to be conservatives, sure...only then were they able to scrape out a razor-thin majority during an election year in which they should have already held Congress by a wide majority.

Not legitimate? No. Democrats have to lie and destroy people to get in office. That's not illegitimate, it's just disgusting and telling about how out of the mainstream their views are. They hold a majority of offices at all levels of government. From city councils, state legislators, governorships, and both houses of congress with a large majority in the house, and, they stand to pick up even more seats this November.
