The "system" sees things differently. The more "clients" they have, the better their job security. A lot of recipients feel entitled to their handouts, as though they have earned it somehow....and they are usually happy enough with it that they settle in for the longhaul.
I know of one single mom (husband a bum who took off to parts unknown) who used her assistance time and benefits to get trained for a job, got a job where I worked, and now that she was making good money, told the state of Idaho, thank you and goodbye....but they tried their best to keep her in the system. Told her that she was still entitled to child care assistance, all she had to do was fill out papers periodically. She said no, so they filled out the papers for her and said all you have to do is sign the papers. She said no again, told them that "the kids are school age and grandma is living with us and she loves taking care of the kids when I am not there". You have to admire someone who like that...

Just to name a few. They were incompetent, and ran their firms into the ground, but they got their welfare money with no problems, thanx to government bailouts. |
I didn't know we were discussing corporate welfare!

I would turn her in to the state immediately. I have done that before, a young man I knew was bragging about driving without insurance, so I told a mutual friend about it, who was a cop. The young man got on a BOLO list, and got his comeuppance. |
