Current Mood: | Re: Would more oil drilling bring an instant drop in oil prices? Are you trying to prove that drilling for oil is useless if prices don't drop immediately? Have prices fallen since gas included 10% ethenol? Have they fallen since Honda introduced a hydrogen car? Have they fallen since libs have stopped the drilling in Anwar? Has any action or policy from anyone caused gas prices to fall? Congress could cause an immediate price drop by repealing all gas taxes immediately; and that is the ONLY action that could cause prices to fall immediately.
Now you libs can pick on drilling all you want, but you are being intellectually dishonest and somewhat traitorous by delaying our ability to produce our own fuel. Why don't you stop us from producing our own food, or don't you think that uses energy? Hmmm?

But quick answer is nothing will have an "immediate effect".
Does this mean we should not do it?
I think we need to drill, stop living for today. |

Congress could cause an immediate price drop by repealing all gas taxes immediately; and that is the ONLY action that could cause prices to fall immediately. This action is one that would definitely increase oil prices, also our highway infrastructure is in bad enough condition as it is, without going on this route of irresponsibility.

Hmmm? | This problem also has nothing to do with political parties - its the "greenies" and their mindless supporters..
We MUST build nuclear power plants
We MUST drill for oil - reaping the benefits 5 to 10 years from now.
We MUST conserve.
We must switch to Diesel, then hydrogen.
These "MUSTS" should have been done 40 years ago ...Had we effective leadership....rather than morons, actors, and sex maniacs in the number one position.. |

We must switch to Diesel, then hydrogen. | Diesel is even more expensive than gasoline. Quote: |

| Or more accurately, morons who were willing to sacrifice the long term good for the benefits of the oil lobby.

Could be. |
