She released the file that showed a US helicopter gunship casually blowing away a couple of Reporters. Not armed enemy, but reporters. There were a lot more files released, but this file showed the war in a bad, but true, light. It screwed up the MSM misinformation stream coming from the War Zone. It also made the misinformation obvious. The shooter was singing "Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie."

Were they american reporters?
 
Yes, Manning should be pardoned. The whole "state secrets/national security" angle has become a cover for allowing government to get away with all kinds of evil ****. I've never heard any credible reason to think Manning's actions harmed American lives. See:

What amazes me most in this debate is that it is often the same people who want to hang someone like Manning who think government should be smaller on the grounds that it is already too tyrannical. I really, really just do not get that.
