Well, obviously I was one of the proud few on this forum who voted for Romney twice. I am shocked, in awe, and amazed that he is even in the running. It makes me think that Romney has an IQ of 210 or that he really has something over Trump. I mean, no way, no how would I ever consider someone who calls me a con man and a cheat as ferociously as Romney did be my adviser to anything.

Yet for all intents and purposes Trump is going to select Romney as his Secretary of State tomorrow. No one candidate has had two private sit down chats or conversations with Trump except Romney. (if this is wrong please correct me but I'm not sure I heard of it happening elsewhere)

Yet the base is furious with Trump. Obviously sitting in meetings all day with these rich elites is turning Trump's big brain into mush right? I mean how else would you explain it? Would this be the thing that helps snaps the Trumpkins back to reality and finally forces them to realize he conned them all or will you remain loyal to the Trump brand until you see that wall?

Sen. Corker

It could definitely be worse.

I can live with it, I didn't feel Romney would have been a good president because I fundamentally disagree with republican ideology on a number of levels, but he had the temperment for the job, so I feel he's more than capable of SoS.

I wish him luck with his email basement server.

It would be a very Lincoln-like move.

Good pick, he would be an excellent token sane person in the cabinet.

Romney personifies wealth, class, confidence and competence. I hope Trump offers ... and Romney accepts! His selection as Sec. of State would increase the prospect of a stable world order. Rudy G, on the other hand, personifies crassness and incompetence. On decisions this important, let's worry less about the voters Team Trump pandered to and more about the health, safety and protection of our American society and the many allies that rely on us.

I'm of two hearts. Mitt Romney serving as Secretary of State would be great and he would be a force of stabilization for the administration, which it desperately needs. But part of me is saying that the administration does not deserve his talents or that stability. The way Conway, Gingrich, and others have treated Romney over the past week is absolutely despicable.

The bad part is, without that stability, we all lose.

The hypocrisy of a Petraeus pick has to be its greatest attraction. He'll be unanimously confirmed and it will show Trump's word is law.

Ya, I am now well over 50% that it is Petraeus, and that Trump setting the tone for how the new sheriff in town works is part of the deal. The elite cant say anything because they were fine with Clinton, Trump is the only one who ever said that she should not have been allowed to run. And The Revolution guys are going to be pleased that it was not Romney so they will give Trump what he wants.

I think we know tomorrow...Trump is meeting with both at the NYC White House per reports.

Pics of the Romney meeting on the yahoo twitter at the link:

It was Don, Pence and Mitt(maybe the nation will get on a first name basis with Pence, but I doubt it) at a another steakhouse. What they ate and drank and other particulars are at the yahoo twitter.

Note: really strange to see Yahoo doing something well.

Romney tried and failed twice --- I think he should slowly fade into obscurity. I'd rather see Petraeus or Corker get the job.

Only that picking Romney excites the matter. Trump is all about exciting the matter.
