Trump voters are retarded, brain damaged fascists, so it's all about feelings for them anyway.

It doesn't matter what Trump "delivers". As long as he just keeps insulting racial and sexual minorities, they'll think he's a success.

How does disparaging tens of millions of people help here? Because you cannot understand their reality nor can empathize with their lives simply shows an unwillingness to work together and to further divide. The people that voted for him have their reasons which are just as legitimate as any other voters choices for going on 300 years now. If I had to pick one positive, I actually prefer the non-PC speak over the mealy mouthed new definitions of the past 8 years.

You know on a campaign predicated on anti-PC, you guys sure are sensitive.

But it makes sense, your new presidents egos fragility is matched only by his temperment.

And on top of everything else, I hear he hates Germans, too. I imagine he'll let Putin have Germany.

A lot of words but no meaning.... a veiled insult about sensitivity with no example, another about temperament and ego..... you should stop reading the Hillary daily memo's, it's over. She lost. He's your President, warts and all.

I'm Canadian, so he's not my president, see, we don't elect people like Trump in our country, probably because we're better educated.

Your new president calls refugees terrorists and criminals, our Prime minister welcomes them at the airport personally.

That's a leader, that's a country, not the joke of a country America became last night.

Really? Rob Ford (may he RIP) comes to mind. And if your Canadian, I don't understand all the hurt feelings unless you're just making content for the site and have no real horse in the race.

Anyone who actually believes Trump is drinking some seriously powerful hallucinogenic kool-aid of some ****.

I am a South African, British, Canadian, what your president does affects us all, and you have made a wildly irresponsible and idiotic choice that could have grave consequences for us all.

The presidency isn't a game Ockham, there a life and death decisions, history altering decisions that presidents make, and America, in its most grandiose act of ignorance and idiocy, just gave the keys to a guy who's ego and temperment are so fragile, he could cause a serious situation we may not come back from.

Last I know, the US President doesn't directly affect SA, British or Canadian policy or law. All three of those countries are still soverign, so I'd simply state of Trump is going to profoundly affect those people, you have much bigger issues than Trump to worry about.

I'll disagree... politics is a game but on a large scale. The games Harry Reid plays on the Senate floor telling lies because he cannot be held accountable for them there, is a game. The attacks in the media, the leaks of October surprise information to sway the electorate, the rounding up of homeless and feeding them if they go to vote... it's all a game. Every President has life and death decisions at some point - it's part of the job.

Accept that the American people made their choice. You apparently had no issue the last 2 elections with the American people's choice; that trust goes both ways when you like it and when you don't. Save your criticisms for when he does something as President. Until January, he's still a private citizen, though President elect.

The system was rigged? Huh?

Actually, any system which uses the Electoral College - a relic of an ancient mechansim left over from the 1700's when few people could vote and even those that could were not trusted by the powered elites - will always be rigged. It is rigged in favor of smaller populated states and against the largest populated states. this produces election results like in 2000 and it looks like last night where the one who finishes second in the EC actually won the vote of the American people.

For starters, one of the first things Obama did was allow Mexican NAFTA truck drivers to push American truck drivers out of the way rather than exchange drivers at the border. Trump can start by righting that wrong. Trucking for many people is the best job they can hope to get. That was a solid middle finger to the American trucking industry. (Don't take this wrong. Not everyone is lucky enough to be a union driver).
Truck Driving is going to go the way of the dodo. Self driving trucks are on the way, and will eliminate the requirement for skilled drivers on the open highways ( perhaps at docks).

The pay will drop, mexican drivers or not

Wut? I think you quoted the wrong post. I didn't say anything about the system being rigged.
People who were chastising Trump for saying the system was rigged are saying the system was rigged because Trump won. Are you one of those voters who are searching for 'rigged' sources to explain Trump's victory? Maybe you want the head of Comey?

Yep, fed judge <Trump's sister> appointed to appeals court by Clinton. Maryanne Barry
Just for the record, my brother who lives in Denver is adamantly Anti-Trump. He watches MSNBC non-stop and is a fan of Sharpton. You know my politics. I don't think being in the same family has anything to do with a person's politics.

who gives a ****?

assholes claim a mandate when they get 25% of eligible voters. 80% of the landmass is occupied by people that are disgusted with progressive policies.

If the progressives would stop trying to make everything into a national policy, we might actually start getting along again, but until that is the case, I have a huge middle finger for you and your ilk.

I suspect that a whole boat-load of those cheering this morning, will be getting quite angry over the next few years.

Just a hunch, but time will tell won't it. ;)

I really can't picture him being a good president. If he ignites a trade war, our economy will dive.

Let's give credit where credit is due. Trump is obviously a talented politician to pull off what he did last night. Considering that his party will control all branches of government, there is no reason for him not to be able to put through most of what he promised to during the campaign.
Is Trump's goal to polarize the country even more? Ramming Republican agenda down the throats of those not enamored with current Republican agenda as set by the leader of the party, Trump, and also the will of the majority of the people will not do anything other than polarize the country further. Having an activist minority preventing the will of the people will also bring about a cry for a change election. The party that is viewed as the party preventing the will of the people will face the wrath of the people come election time.

Anybody remember back in 2008 all the proclamations that the Republican party was dead?

8 years later the Republicans control the Presidency, the House, and the Senate for the first time since 1928.

Oh, and Loretta Lynch #PackYourSh*t.
Too bad no one can prosecute Eric Holder JR... Hopefully most of his decisions will be reversed.

Thank you Trump supporters for conducting your revolution without resorting to unabated violence. I just stepped outside, looked around and sniffed the air. Even though Trump must wait until Inaugural Day to take control of the White House, I can already feel America becoming Great again... NOT, but I can hope!
I turned 18 in 1974 less than a month after Nixon resigned. In 1976, Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter surprised the nation and won the Presidency, defeating Gerald Ford. He buckled under the enormous challenges and California Governor Ronald Reagan swamped him in 1980. Carter only took Georgia. Keep in mind near the end of Carter's one term, a revolution occurred in Iran. Iraq promptly attacked Iran. United States sided with Iraq. Reagan served two terms, defeating Mondale in 1984. Much happened domestically and in foreign affairs during Reagan's eight years.... the wall between East and West Germany came down, Germany reunited.... and the USSR fell apart. In 1988, Reagan VP, Daddy Bush, easily defeated Dukakis. For some reason, in spite of our overwhelming American military dominance quelling a land and oil wells grab by Iraq's Saddam, Daddy Bush disconnected with common voters and in 1992 lost to Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton. Then..blah blah blah blah blah.... all the way through GW, Barack, and now King Donald. The people have spoken! Welcome to Trumpland! And, no ... I do not expect King Donald to even scratch the surface in fulfilling campaign promises. He has just fulfilled the biggest accomplishment of his life! VP-elect Mike Pence knows how to govern. I predict some kind of calamity occurring to King Donald... and Pence becoming our 46th president before the next election cycle. In the interim, we can count on King Donald to entertain us!

I believe that elections have consequences. If the people voted for Trump, then they should get what they voted for.

Have you ever read your own post?

Yet, he insults and he and his followers are racists. Figure it out, just once.

Our economy is already diving. The worst scenario I envision is no foreign country willing to pay the US's tariffs (or other countries attempt to impose their own tariffs) and the US manufactures and sells its products solely to other Americans. Many new jobs and higher inflation could ensue. Better buy gold.

You will have to, eventually, admit Trump tapped into a large swath of the thinking of the American people. Enough, with the aid of electoral votes, to become our next president. Being bitter doesn't suit you well.

Not much. Tension in America will only worsen. Give it 6 months and bring this thread back to life.

So you object to the principle of one citizen and one vote with each vote having equal weight with that of every other citizen?

How could one possibly object to such a principle of complete fairness?
