Congrats Trump Fans!! Now, Will He Deliver?

How much of what Trump promised he'd do, will he actually do?

That greatly depends on if those two things mesh together or not now doesn't it?

Trump may very well want things the "conservatives" don't.

What difference, at this point, does.it
.make? America has dodged the Hillary bullet yet again.....thank God.

It makes a difference. Dodging one bullet, to get hit between the eyes with another bullet, isn't really accomplishing anything is it?

Congrats to those who voted for Trump.
You defeated the worst candidate to ever be nominated by the Dems, with the worst candidate to ever be nominated by the Reps.

So here's my question for you:

How much of what Trump promised he'd do, will he actually do?

He will do all of it.

He will raise all boats.

I think it is a mistake to apply past efforts of Establishment Elites to President Trump, who has thrown out the play book.

Dodging Hillary, again, is accomplishing a lot.

As I said in threads before the election Trump is an unknown,
He could be ether a Carter or a Reagan, we simply do not know.
Who he picks for his advisors, and if he listens to them will tell a lot.
The only thing we do know is that the status quo in Washington is likely to change.

No they won't. You haven't been listening. They want the promises he made *and* they want him to shatter the system. If all he accomplishes is the latter then they've won.

That would fall under the Gods granting them their desires to punish them. But you are right that they probably wouldn’t understand, what was causing the harm any more than most people understood the damage President Clinton and Greenspan did.

Let's give credit where credit is due. Trump is obviously a talented politician to pull off what he did last night. Considering that his party will control all branches of government, there is no reason for him not to be able to put through most of what he promised to during the campaign.

It's not really his party, though.

That's the point. That why he got elected in the first place.

He will, but how liberal or how conservative will that nominee be?
HOPEFULLY neither. Hopefully he will nominate a candidate that believes in and follows the Constitution...and not a liberal nor conservative view of it.

Enforcing Immigration law, properly vetting refugees from areas with high probabilities of terror activity and known passport fraud, improving jobs across the board, especially in the black communities, strengthening and modernizing our military, aggressively continuing Obamas war on terrorism, and revising a healthcare system that even liberal estimates agree have made it unworkable...what else would you like to see him accomplish?

I hope liberals hold him to his campaign rhetoric. I hope they work with him to make the country better.

Whoa....did the Republicans "wise up" and nominate a "better" candidate than Romney and/or McCain?
Or was it simply that the Dems nominated a far worse candidate?

It was that the democrats nominated one of the worst candidates one could run. Seriously. I'm a republican. I detest trump. But Hillary? She is terrible and corrupt...and a perennial loser. Had the democrats voters put in a semi tolerable candidate...someone that you wouldn't just go...well ok...at least he isn't a terrible person...they would have won. No doubt. And I am betting that will happen. The only reason it won't? They are dumb enough to put Clinton up again.

What about illegal immigration?
ISIS?
War on terror?
The economy?
Health Care?

All those are important but, if any of those comes down to the SCOTUS being the final decider, we need Justices who will vote the right way.

Or we can go back to a realistic and constitutional system of checks and balances.

He will, but how liberal or how conservative will that nominee be?

Well if the GOP naysayers are right, and Trump is actually a liberal just making faces like Mussolini, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

But........................................ on the other hand.......

Given America's current desire for an authoritarian, dictatorial regime, as was clearly made plain, loudly and clearly, in last night's election, I think Trump's SCOTUS nomination(s) will be nothing short of the judge in the Pink Floyd film "The Wall."

"Worm, your honor!"

Good morning, Worm your honor
The crown will plainly show
The prisoner who now stands before you
Was caught red-handed showing feelings
Showing feelings of an almost human nature
This will not do
Call the schoolmaster

I always said he'd come to no good
In the end your honor
If they'd let me have my way I could
Have flayed him into shape
But my hands were tied
The bleeding hearts and artists
Let him get away with murder
Let me hammer him today? <snip>
****Pink Floyd

Anyone remember when it was a joke in back to the future that Ronald Regan was president?

Only thing I take from last night's results is that America just couldn't take the idea of Hillary Clinton as POTUS.

It was more of a vote against her, than a vote "FOR" an "authoritarian, dictatorial regime".

All I cared about was keeping Clinton out. Mission accomplished.

Anybody remember back in 2008 all the proclamations that the Republican party was dead?

8 years later the Republicans control the Presidency, the House, and the Senate for the first time since 1928.

Oh, and Loretta Lynch #PackYourSh*t.

You think the GOP will let him "shatter" the system?

1. The GOP doesn't control Trump. They weren't able to control him over the course of the last year, and there's no reason to think they'll control him now that he'll have the powers of the office.

2. Trump can do an astonishing amount of damage without the approval of Congress.

A lot of what he wants to do already falls in line with republicans in the house and senate. He'll struggle with getting rid of NAFTA and maybe his whole renegotiation of TPP, but other than maybe investment in infrastructure I don't see the conflict.

Considering the fact Trump changed his positions more times than a indecisive porn star the top one or two options would be correct regardless of what he does.

Never thought of it that way before.

For starters, one of the first things Obama did was allow Mexican NAFTA truck drivers to push American truck drivers out of the way rather than exchange drivers at the border. Trump can start by righting that wrong. Trucking for many people is the best job they can hope to get. That was a solid middle finger to the American trucking industry. (Don't take this wrong. Not everyone is lucky enough to be a union driver).

Trump voters are retarded, brain damaged fascists, so it's all about feelings for them anyway.

It doesn't matter what Trump "delivers". As long as he just keeps insulting racial and sexual minorities, they'll think he's a success.

Your entire post is loaded with your "feelings."
Take a break, get some perspective, geesh.
