I don't think people truly realize that Trump considers himself "a brand". And he has perpetrated hundreds of lawsuits to, in essence, make sure that "his brand, called TRUMP, isn't belittled, libeled or slandered. He takes the Trump name extremely serious because he depends on it to perpetuate his wealth. If the name Trump becomes constant negative sound bites, he'll most likely suffer financially.

He's hit people of with lawsuits for simply saying that his worth is less than he claims. That's a bad "image" for his "brand".

I never said Bill Clinton was worse or Trump was innocent. I'm refuting your statement that Bill Clinton should not be brought up when discussing this story. Any clear-thinking individual knows there are YUGE similarities.

I've repeatedly said on this forum how disgusting, crude and ignorant Trump is. I also have no doubt that some, if not all, of these accusations are true. I feel the same way about Bill Clinton -- two peas in a pod.

I don't care. What do you want to do about it? Trump messed that one up by parading around those women, and now claims that there is a conspiracy from these other women out to get him! Maybe if he didn't do that, we could discuss the other case, but as of now this has more to do with Bill Cosby, if you want to talk about a Bill. It's way more like the Bill Cosby case, because these women are all coming out to accuse a rich powerful guy. The other cases were complete different and have either been settled or thrown out!

What's different about Bill Cosby's case and Trump's case? I think the fact that Cosby used pills, and so far it seems that Trump hasn't is the real killer here. No one likes someone who drugs girls, but people can have varying opinions about the women that were around and Trump surrounded himself with... Unless pills enter the picture, or more forceful rape allegations emerge. People will cling on to their hopes that all this is just political fiction. What say you?

I do not think it is likely. Not because he is, quote, "a great man, and HE is the victim of the Clinton Political Machine," but simply because I do not think it is likely.
I do not think it is likely Hillary will be going to jail, either, even if Trump does somehow win at this point.

They are coming out because of his statement in the debate saying these things never happened. Once again, its Trump's arrogance and his thinking he can lie at will that have brought him down. These stories, which there are many, are merely validating what Trump said about himself to Billy Bush rather than a new complaint about the Donald that is coming out of left field.

Every day Trump wastes talking about this stuff, particularly when he spends his time demeaning these woman in a manner that is consistent with an abuser, is a day that Donald is etching his political tombstone. He indulges in this conversation in a manner of a guilty person that has been re-handed.

Keep it up Donald, you are showing all of us that you do indeed lack the temperament and intelligence for this job. Thank God, for the American political process that ultimately vettes the candidate before he can do real harm.

Granted, the largest extent of my exposure to courtroom technicalities tend to revolve around what I've seen on tv, especially Judge Judy. But I don't think a judge or jury has ever found an alleged rapist to be "not guilty" on the basis that what Bill Clinton did seems really similar.

Most women's restrooms have stalls with doors. A dressing room is not a bathroom stall. Trump timed his little visit to the girls dressing room to when they were changing into bathing suits.

In a thread about whether or not Trump would go to jail, which strikes me as something of a legal discussion, you felt it necessary to give your opinion that Bill's accusers and Trump's accusers bore little difference. Maybe you weren't saying that Trump was innocent, but I'd be curious what you think such information would contribute to that discussion?

Do you not think there are over 20 women who love Hillary enough to tell these sorts of lies weeks before an Election just to solidify her victory and then the accusations will disappear from public view by November 9th?

It's a discussion about someone in politics being accused of sexual assault. The OP wanted NO ONE to mention Bill Clinton even though he is a politician who was accused of sexual assault. I was merely pointing out that the OP doesn't want there to be similarities and doesn't want anyone to bring it up because of his political bias. As I have already said, I have very little doubt that Trump is innocent in all of this.... the same way I feel about Clinton.

So the thread starter wanted the discussion to not be threadjacked, and you respected his wishes by doing precisely the thing he asked people not to do.

So now that you got that out of your system, what do you feel you were able to impart upon the discussion? Was there no other motive than to disrespect ModerateGOP's wishes?

The only thing I know about Andrew Johnson is that he was a horrible president and was impeached...... but he was president 150 years ago.

Maybe in 150 years the only thing people will know about Bill Clinton is that he was impeached. Right now? No.

I can't talk about Cosby because it makes ill to even think about him. And now I can barely stand to watch Trump...he's so repugnant that even his voice makes me cringe.

Will he go to jail? No...at least not for his sexual transgressions...but he might for fraud and racketeering.
