Oh please, stop with this PC crap...do really think the majority of people really care or are thinking about this when they enter an Italian restaurant?

How is what I said in any way PC?

I prefer green olives.

T-shirt sales are pretty good, though, it seems and the bigger the controversy, the better the sales. Of course, that'll only last so long and this little pizza joint may have bitten of more than it can chew.

It likely wouldn't matter much to their sales since the majority of people who live in Albuquerque, NM are white or hispanic, over 85%. Their party affiliation seems to be pretty split (although more did vote for Obama, but they are a pretty good size city in NM).

Albuquerque, New Mexico (NM) profile: population, maps, real estate, averages, homes, statistics, relocation, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, moving, houses, news, sex offenders

Black people don't emphasize black-on-black deaths as much as you'd like, so it's okay to trivialize police-on-black killings.

Okay. :|

Considering one far exceeds the other and one is far more likely to be justifiable than the other.....yep.

If you hadn't read about it, a pizza place is using that slogan to advertise a tuna dish. It's garnered quite a bit of publicity, some positive and some not so positive.

So what do you think?
funny
offensive
both
neither

I'll admit I got a chuckle out of it because it so well illustrates and plays on the absurdity of the whole BLM schtick. Those who would find it offensive really need to get a life.

The perpetually-offended will always be offended.
Perpetually.
They just have no sense of humor, and they have a bug up their butt, as a rule.

The professionally-offended, on the other hand, will always be offended for another reason altogether.
Because it's their bread and butter.
They live for it.

And this society is ripe and swollen with offense for them to feed off of.
So deep is their vapid uselessness.

I think they were trying to get publicity and it worked.

I just went to Paisano's website to order a "Black Olives Matter" t-shirt but it's $25. It's funny but not that funny. Maybe I'll make one that says, "Anchovies Matter". That probably isn't copyrighted.

I can see how it could be seen as offensive, but hardly to any extent that matters. Let it be and move on.

BLM is full of hypersensitive types that specialize in multiplying enemies rather than gaining allies.

I suppose I'd be more impressed if BLM cared about black lives. What they care about is political points, that's all. They are the spawn of our racist president. For him, only a few black lives matter and it's the same with BLM.

Green olives do NOT matter. They're disgusting.

As to the topic, I think it's kinda crass. Not entirely unfunny, but certainly not a way to drum up business outside of GoFundMe possibilities.

They should've found a way to shape olives into little police badges and put blue rubber bands around them. that would've pissed off BLM and drummed up business at the same time.

One would think the idea that BlackOlivesMatter is racist against Green Olives would turn on a light in the head of idiots claiming BLM is "racist" against whites.

organic olives should matter

One would think that but then they would realize that blm is racist...

Hee hee hee!

I would say that 'having a sense of humor' is what separates us from the lower beasts, but I have known too many dogs, cats, and even birds (I had an Amazon parrot) who had amazing senses of humor.

The perpetually-offended?
Not so much.

Add "Don't Care" to the poll.

I guess I'd call it rather inappropriate. It's probably going to offend as many people as think it's humerous. If his pizza place is on Martin Luther King Drive someplace, I hope his fire insurance is paid up.

Risky. With not much bang for the buck.
