If you had to venture a guess: How will Trump affect other Republican candidates in November?

Will he be a drag on the ticket? Will he be a boost to the ticket? No effect one way or another?

In general, of course. There may be outliers.

The first two things I think of when I think of Trump?

His scowl and his eldest daughter (I got a thing for her - well, her looks, plus both of us practise Transcendental Meditation).

Yeah, yeah...sad, I know.

;)

As for what he means to other Reps? I dunno, I am not a Rep (or a Dem or anything else politically - thank goodness).
My guess is they will love him if they believe he can win and dislike him if they do not.
Such is American politics.

Did I mention Ivanka?

I'll just go ahead and say Trump will have a negative effect on other Republicans.

Overall drag. Running a POTUS candidate with high negatives (BTW, both parties are doing so) will, IMHO, seriously reduce independent voter turnout. Since the hard core R (and D) will vote against the other party (straight ticket?) it hurts the R's more since low voter turnout hurts the R's more.

He is dragging down the down-ticket races, and may cost the Senate.

Though we aren't so bad off yet that we are looking at losing the House.

Great ****ing job, Trump primary voters. Really Well Done on shooting yourself in the face, there.

 you did.

Did you see she goes on vacation with Putin's Girlfriend? Yay.

She IS damn good lookin'.

He is going to be a drag. I know it, I think about it daily, and I'd like to give a big **** you to the Trump primary voters because of it.

I vote drag, like everyone else.

I doubt there will be much dissent.

My gut says he's already done a lot of damage, even if he were to later turn the numbers around.

I will hazard a guess to say no real effect, but he does have the possibility of creating a drag on other candidates.

You know, if Hillary focused on Manafort's Yanukovych/Putin alliance, and introduced these vacation pics of Ivanka & Putin's mistress, and showed that the Trump campaign changed the GOP platform from anti-Russian to pro-Rusian, etc., - she just might have a potent line of attack!

I'd bet there's a fair amount of the older generations of voters that still do not like Russia and are fearful of it, especially with Putin's recent expansionist policy via military force. Older Caucasian's fears of Russia would be eating right into Trump's core base, and more importantly the Indies he needs to win.

Trump's base is with him hard core. They would simply decide to be fans of imperial Russia. It's a personality cult.
