Who do you trust?

Who do you trust? Who is honest? Who cares about America?

I trust that a successful businessman like Donald Trump is about as honest as any other businessman, which is to say, 10 times as honest as any politician.

Hillary Clinton is a major-league liar, almost as bad as Barack Obama in that department, and just a shade worse than Richard Nixon was.

Which one can be trusted to do right by the nation, above their own self interest?
It is indeed a classic 'lesser of two evils' scenario, but clearly Donald Trump get this Independent's vote this year.

There are a lot of unknowns about the man, but I feel strongly that he means well, and that he'll shake up the Washington DC insider cabal that has been strangling this country for decades.

The knowns are the troubling thing about Hillary Clinton; She's demonstrably-corrupt, dishonest, and self-serving.
Hillary Clinton is dead in the middle of that crooked Washington DC cabal, and she belongs in prison, in my opinion.

And please bear in mind that I have voted for roughly an equal number of Democrat Presidential candidates over the years as I have Republican.
And I even voted for H Ross Perot one year.
I'm not even sure what sort of affiliation he was, but he was better than the (D) and the (R) choices that year.

Not sure about this guy Gary Johnson.
I lean libertarian more than the next guy, but I just don't see him getting enough traction.
I'm afraid that my vote for him would be a wasted vote, or worse yet, would help put Hillary Clinton back into the White House.
Which would be an unmitigated disaster.
:(

So, with a choice of AIDS or tertiary syphillis, you choose AIDS. Way to go, Mycroft.

LOL!!

False comparison, for sure...but just for the sake of my curiosity, which do you associate with AIDS and which with syph?

Both care about America, both are narcissists, both are complicated twisted people.

But when it comes to trust I would trust Trump with my life.

I do not trust Hillary at all.

Well, to each their own but even with that, she still wins the race for best of the worst presidential candidates hands down.

Especially after the new barrage of childish attacks, Crooked Hillary? Hillary Rotten Clinton? Or him describing her as totally unhinged? For real? The unstable factor Trump calls someone else unfit for being unhinged :lamo

Clinton's best policy achievements came early in his first term. His tax hikes on the wealthy are not being disavowed by Hillary.

Trump is one of the most successful Businessmen in US history and Hillary is a Politician/Bureaucrat who aside from selling access to foreigners has failed at everything she has ever tried. That is the choice.

I choose option 5: Donald Trump is the lesser of evils.

So, with a choice of AIDS or tertiary syphillis, you choose AIDS. Way to go, Mycroft.

LOL!!

False comparison, for sure...but just for the sake of my curiosity, which do you associate with AIDS and which with syph?

Not saying I agree or disagree but I'm curious how you don't think he wasn't clear? You pick Trump so he said you pick AIDS. Is that not obviously saying Trump is AIDS?

the old unhinged mantra,sure he is and clinton sat and watch good men die and did nothing,i am still laughing,clinton is the one who is unhinged here is a list of hillary clinton's screw ups,only an unhinged person could show her face with a record like this;;;;;;;;

Gave Russia a reset button which reset cold war

Lack of a coherent plan to address the Arab Spring

Deteriorating relations with Israel

Assessment of Bashar al-Assad (whom she labeled a “reformer”)

Cluelessness that withdrawal of U.S. forces in Iraq would give the radicals a foothold

Benghazi scandal

Lack of bringing to justice the jihadists who killed our 4 Americans

Victory lap on Osama bin Laden giving a false impression of al-Qaeda’s decimation

Blindsiding the Israeli prime minister with a public declaration of U.S. policy on “1967 borders”

Backing Hugo Chavez’s candidate in Honduras rather that the middle and business classes’ choice (who was also pro-American)

Relaxation of Cuban sanctions followed by Alan Gross’s imprisonment

Surprising Poland and the Czech Republic by pulling out anti-missile sites

Embracing Hosni Mubarak (calling him a family friend) just when pressure was needed to prevent what ultimately became his overthrow

The lack of a cogent approach to the Middle East

Failing to take decisive action in Syria before jihadists poured into the country

The decision to overthrow President Gaddafi in Libya

Downplaying human rights, especially with China

Failing to robustly support the Green Revolution

Engagement of Iran and foot-dragging on sanctions, allowing Iran to reach the cusp of a nuclear weapons capability

Announced “pivot” to Asia without carrying through

Erased email server

Clinton cash

Maintaining the status quo with Pakistan

the fact that this woman is being considered by some as presidential material is laughable.

run don run

You had me until "run don run".

Okay, we're down to Sen. Clinton and Mr. Trump as the two Democrats running for President, one running as a Republican. As you might guess, I am not a Trumpkin. I've never voted for a Democrat to be president and I won't now, even if he's running as a Republican.

Now, a poll. Who do you trust? Who do you think is honest? Who do you think cares about America and would put the country's welfare above personal greed?

An easy poll.

I plan to vote for Gary Johnson as a "bucket" to hold #NeverTrump votes. It will show how many votes T-Rump lost by alienating conservatives.

Who do I trust?

God.

My son.

Some other family members and a few close friends, within reason and as long as our interests do not come into irreconcilable conflict.

Other than that, I trust no one entirely and most very little.

Certainly I trust no politician.

Having said that... all you can do is choose based on what you know, and hope things won't go too far wrong.

I don't trust either of them as far as their word goes. But I can at least predict how Hillary will respond in given situations.

Neither. How I see it their both unfit for the job, but Trump will likely be held accountable by the press and not get reelected, while Hillary will get a free pass and win reelection. I would rather the press do their job and only deal with one of these boobs for four years instead of eight.

I don't trust either of them as far as their word goes. But I can at least predict how Hillary will respond in given situations.

This is how I feel 100%. It sucks but its the reality for me. And the I don't like the predictions probably 60% f the time but its better than not knowing. I hate the situation but Ill take the same ****ty status quo over a completely unknown unpredictable worst scenario.

Clinton - Has spent her entire life working to help both working and disadvantaged Americans. She does not have any incredible achievements. And she gets a straight up F for Libya.
But, what is probably even more significant than either, is the fact that Republicans have spent over 20 years and over 100 million dollars (much of it taxpayer money) in trying to smear and tarnish her name.
You take away this smear campaign and what you have left is a woman who is less than spectacular, but still a woman who has dedicated her entire life to helping others.
Contrary to the results of these attacks, Clinton has never straight up lied. She has been mistaken and therefore been wrong. But being wrong does not make a person a liar.
This is similar to the Obama issue over keeping your insurance. Obama fully believed that the vast majority would be able to keep their insurance. But Obama did not anticipate the backlash from Insurance Companies that sold sub standard policies. Obama expected the companies to improve the policies, not cancel them. Obama was wrong. Again... huge difference between being wrong and out right being a liar.
If I told you the sun will rise tomorrow and it doesn't, it would simply mean that I was wrong... not that I lied to you.
The email issue is so confusing that most people just don't get it. When it comes to the potential for dishonesty, the potential that Clinton was incorrect is every bit as great.
Libya is a dead issue now except that now I want to see a panel formed to determine why tax payer money was used for a political smear campaign that used the deaths of our American Heroes as pawns.

In the end, if you look closely at all of the Clinton issues there is a reoccurring theme. Every item except for one is also a situation where people disagree based on their political ideology or it could easily just have been that she was incorrect. The one time that she might have straight up lied is when she claimed her plane took on fire back in 2008. But even then, one could consider this embellishment.

Trump - This is an entirely different situation. Everywhere this man goes he leaves a trail of fraud, unhappy clients, unpaid workers, unpaid contractors, and bankruptcies. When people attack Trump, they are using his own words. He straight up lies about everything over and over. He lies about the competition. He lies about the intent of the Democrats. He lies about what people said. He lies about what people did. He makes up entire situations such as movies and meetings that never even existed.
The man is a walking sound byte and nothing but a con artist.

In Trump's case though, his lying and dishonesty is not even the serious part. He has guaranteed Trade War. He has threatened us with Holy War while at the same time damaging our ability to gather intel.
He has suggested that he favors using nuclear weapons against ISIS. He has suggested that he might use nuclear weapons against anyone he feels like. His words about eliminating all crime and more Law and Order wreak of a massive Patriot Act and the loss of all rights as we turn into a police controlled state. He thinks that a woman who is sexually harassed should just go get a different career. His economic ideas are sure to crash the entire global economy.

I wonder how people would view the comparison between these two individuals if you took away the estimated 100 million dollars and all of the years that it has been implemented to tarnish Clinton's name.
Trump would look the same as he does now, obviously.
Clinton would likely appear quite different.

LOL!!

False comparison, for sure...but just for the sake of my curiosity, which do you associate with AIDS and which with syph?

Does it matter? Do you consider one the lesser of two evils that you would choose?

specify the Trump corruption?

Why? You aren't capable of using Google? Trump University? Three money-making bankruptcies? Polish illegal immigrants not paid? Improper loans from daddy for which there was a $30,000 fine? How about Donald's bragging that he bribes politicians? I'm sure you're shocked that the 70-year old man who obsesses on the size of his hands and who said all the women on The Apprentice flirted with him had to pull a Clinton and settle a lawsuit for sexual harassment. And we all know why he didn't have to face the draft. He said he had a high draft number. It had nothing to do with the son of a multimillionaire, an outstanding athlete being classified as unfit for military service.

I trust neither and think it is a sorry ass day in the history of this country that they are the choices.

My only hope is there is huge outpour for the GOP to "insist" Trump release his tax records ASAP.

Since the WikiLeaks publishing hacked documents from the DNC timed perfectly to cause mayhem in the Democratic party convention, it is raising concerns with many.

Look anyone with half a neuron firing in their brain knows Assange is in bed with Putin. It was Putin that went to bat for Assange in 2010 seeking asylum for him among world leaders.

Ecuador stepped up and since has strengthened their relationship with Putin. Putin in return invested 1.5 billion in Ecuador's energy program and Russia has increased it's imports from Ecuador while both countries have come into an agreement to share information with one another during a not too long ago summit.

With Trump's admiration for Putin, three of his closest advisers having direct ties to Russia, the fact that Trump's own foreign policies are favorable to Putin especially his views on NATO, and the fact the Trump team fought hard to have the Republican platform soften its stance on Russia, I believe the GOP should demand Trump release his tax information immediately.
All candidates running for the presidency have held political office (except Jill Stein) and Trump. And all have a record to vet. Trump a businessman has not been fully vetted because the only way to do so is to see his tax records.

Assange keeps popping up for interviews claiming there is another load of documents on Hillary to be released soon. As much as I dislike Hillary, I despise the idea of foreign governments interfering in our elections.

And the GOP better make darn sure Trump's businesses aren't being funded by Russian Oligarchs showing a conflict of interest which I believe would discredit him as a candidate under the circumstances. They would be fools not to totally vet their candidate and they are running out of time to be able to replace him if necessary.

Well, I voted for "Neither is honest, trustworthy, or cares about America.", but that wasn't 100% accurate. I think Clinton has to care for America more, if only because it is metaphysically impossible for anyone to care about themselves more than Donald Trump.

If the number 10^100 represented how much Clinton cares about herself, then Trump necessarily cares for himself by 10^(100+n)

Does it matter? Do you consider one the lesser of two evils that you would choose?

Again, it's a false comparison.

Neither Trump nor Clinton are diseases. They are both people that various voter will choose to lead our country.

Hillary is just smart enough to have a filter

I am not sure, I also think she is way less crazy than the Donald, add that to the filter she has and you get a guaranteed mediocre president at least.

I think the voters should think like doctors do, "first do not harm" and that is clearly Hillary because she is is reasonably seen as less riskier than the Donald.

Clinton's best policy achievements came early in his first term. His tax hikes on the wealthy are not being disavowed by Hillary.

And I think it only right that those who have the most pay a bit more of their wealth so that the middle class can get back to where it once was and in the end this will make the rich even more money (in the end) and make it possible for the middle class to add more to the tax coffers because hopefully the middle class will have resurfaced stronger than ever before.
