Tie between wanting to change history and love of power.

For Trump I think he wants to start a dynasty.

His sons and daughter look ready to go into politics at any time.

Trump JR said that he wanted to do it after the RNC. He said a Trump dynasty wouldn't be a bad thing. Well now, all these people who support Trump basically said they are supporting him because they are sick of the political dynasties controlling everything... How long before people are sick of little Trump's everywhere in politics?

'I am President of the United States' is a heck of a pickup line.

I don't know, most guys I know managed to score better at the bars with "I'm an attorney" or "I own my own business" versus what Bill Clinton ended up with

All of the above.

I thought of him when I typed that.

Actually, I found 'I am a doctor' did best amongst the professions. I had a friend who struck out REPEATEDLY as a 'civilian'. When he became a doctor (just an intern), he was almost beating them off with a stick.

Clinton was a) an pig/idiot in that regard. And b) he was obviously trying to keep it secret. If you are single, I cannot think of just about any better pick up line then 'Hi, I am the President of the United States'.

It ain't a bad gig as far are money and perks. $400k salary that you really don't need to live on. A six-figure expense account. You get to live in a 55k square foot mansion for free and I'm sure its actually a bigger than that when you include underground areas they don't tell us about. 747 private jumbo jet to use for free. Helicopter to use for free. Chauffeured limousine to use for free. You own private vacation retreat, Camp David. And there's when you're poor and still in office. After you leave office is when you really start raking in the cash. Every living President of the US is a multi-millionaire. Carter is the broke one with $5 million in the bank. Clinton's net worth is $80 million.

It's funny though since they still have to pay for their own food.

I think other than food, clothes, their kids' private school tuition and vacations at places other than Camp David, everything else is included. If I could live for free in a 55,000 square foot furnished mansion including utilities and around the clock chef and butler service, free home security, free chauffeured driving service, free flights to anywhere in the world via private jumbo jet and helicopter and got paid $400,000 a year and all I had to pay for where groceries and toilet paper; I'd vacation in Hawaii every Christmas too.

Still underpaid in my opinion for the magnitude of the responsibilities coupled with the fact that you have people standing right outside your unlocked door 24/7 every time you or your wife take a shower or used the potty for life. But don't be fooled, its still a very comfortable life.

I've sometimes wondered if being president of the United States is worth the headache. Unimaginable stress. Nowhere near the compensation deserved. Half the country hates your stinkin' guts. Half the world hates your stinkin' guts. On call 24/7. Your descisions will lead to people being killed. Privacy, what's that? Armed men escort you to the potty and stand within a few feet as you take a leak with standing orders to pick up up and carry you to a place of safety in the event of an emergency even if you're not finished. Same is true if you're in the shower or playing doctor with your wife (or husband.) I've tried to put myself in the shoes of a presidential candidate to figure out why they would want the job. What do you thinK?

WHY?To end the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Ukraine, etc.
To create millions of jobs by addressing Global Warming issues at an infrastructual level.
To end CORPORATE WELFARE.To end Citizens United.
To end the Patriot Act.
To prosecute some KStreet lobbyists for bribery.
To end the CIA Mass Media management, better yet, end the CIA.
Absolutely end CORPORATISM because what is good for Corporatism is bad for humans.
To end dumping trash, garbage, waste into Oceans.
Subsidize SMALL subsistance/income farms on a massive scale.
End Military OFFENSE spending.
