Mitt Romney

Hypothetically, which candidate would you vote for?

  • Mitt Romney

    Votes: 8 18.6%
  • Donald Trump

    Votes: 13 30.2%
  • Hillary Clinton

    Votes: 10 23.3%
  • None

    Votes: 12 27.9%

  • Total voters
    43
That's one of the reasons why I'm not voting for Hillary. I live in Texas, so the electoral votes are pretty much going to go to Trump. So it's basically useless to vote for Clinton.

Lol TN here.

Waffle? A similar expression to 'mollywhop' I presume?[/QUO
when someone is speaking but saying nothing

Waffle when someone speaks but says nothing a typical Politian

Looking back, he was probably the only sane candidate in the race (Excluding Jill Stein)...

On the Republican side. But the base threw him under the bus after his 2012 loss.

I quit the republican party during Bush's second term and never looked back. Picking McCain and Romney as their nominees only solidified my reasoning.

I used to volunteer a lot of my time and efforts to the republicans ..........time that would have been "better spent" out fishing on the bay.

I also thought that Romney would have made a good president. However his recent actions make me think he is a petty, vindictive man. Not good traits for a president.

Well, than he has that in common with the Orange Haired Buffoon that is the presumptive candidate on the Republican side.

I've read a few articles saying that someone like Mitt Romney could run as a third party candidate and feasibly win...in a hypothetical situation would you vote for Trump, Hillary or Romney? Why or why not could Mitt Romney win?

I won't vote for either of those liberals. The differences between Romney and Trump is that Romney directly enacted liberal policies while Trump indirectly enacted liberal policies by donating to liberal and RINO candidates which meant he helped those liberal and RINO candidates get elected so they can enact liberal policies.

I think voting for either Trump or Clinton constitutes wasting your vote more than a third party.

Well, we'll see if a third party candidate even comes close. A vote for an alternative candidate this election cycle is a vote for the front runner.

I was just thinking, after reading that post about Texas and California, how this election cycle may mark the beginning of hope for a third party. But I can't get over the sense that a third-party vote would help Hillary Clinton.

Or it may help Trump.

With the Electoral College, your vote makes no difference, unless you live in a swing state. Even then I'm not sure. My state is going to Clinton no matter how I vote, so I will vote my conscience.

I voted for Romney enthusiastically in 2012 and I would vote for him again in 2016. That said, he isn't running. I'm either voting for Gary Johnson, or writing in Marco Rubio.

Third party will not win in an election and will simply ensure the loss for whatever side closes matches them. third party is something to vote for in county and state elections and make it more common at the more local level. If people will do that it will have a bigger chance in the national elections but we aren't to that point at this time.
