India and China Seek UK Trade Deals - Guido Fawkes Euro Guido

India and China are very happy about the UK leaving the EU. Two very huge markets.

Nothing has prevented the UK in making trade deals with India and China before this. It is a bull**** article. The reason that the UK has little trade with India is not the EU (because the EU does not have a trade deal per say with India), but because the UK has no real products that India wants and the products it does have, are heavily regulated by the Indians who dont like outsiders in their marketplace. As for China, who do you really think has the bigger "dick" in that relationship? The country that produces everything (China) or the small island in the North Atlantic that wants to isolate it self, and caused over 100 years of pain in China, something they still have not forgotten? The UK will get utterly bullied by the Chinese as it wont have the power behind it as it had with the EU. The Chinese are frustrated with the EU, because it cant bully them.. it certainly can with the UK.

All I can say is that I hope they work out trade deals, while surviving well.
I think they should have all the choice in the world to be an independent nation.

But they were an independent nation before Brexit..

And how can they suddenly become "independent" in your world by leaving the EU, but not NATO or the UN? Or WTO? All those organisations take away sovereignty from member nations. Hell FIFA, the IOC, Postal Union and so on take away sovereignty from its member nations.

Of course they're not completely independent, the EU is the early iteration of a super state.
Just as the US was.

Superstates tend to further concentrate power to the central authorities.

Nonsense.

Insulting to whom?
I don't get it why it would be insulting.
"We tried it and we don't like it," is not inherently insulting.

So democracy is wrong, when you don't like what they decide?
That's more or less what you're saying..

The Leave campaign was essentially we want because **** you. Not to mention the actual insults that Farage hurled at members of the EU parliament. The same members the UK must now negotiate with. Instead of trying to fix it from the inside they are now on the outside but trying to have all the same benefits without having to pay or do anything and have everything their way.

I know, I know.
It's always the other guy's fault, it couldn't ever be a more complicated issue.

Yes the article is nonsense political maneuvering and propaganda. Modi is not exactly a fan of the UK, and as I pointed out before, the UK is far behind other EU nations when it comes to exports to India. Why is that? Why is that France sells more to India than the UK does?

France isn't even close to being a top 10 importer to India. The UK once was BEFORE they joined the EU. There is plenty of room to gain some of that back.

Where did I say anything about being top 10 importer? But yes I was wrong.. I was thinking of Belgium.

The top EU exporters to India are..

1) Germany with almost 13 billion a year.
2) Belgium with almost 11 billion a year
3) UK with only 5 billion a year.

There are 17.. yes 17 countries ahead of the UK when it comes to exporting to India. Now many of those are of course oil/energy countries. So if we subtract them..

1) China
2) Switzerland
3) US
4) Indonesia (maybe energy related)
5) South Korea
6) Germany
7) Malaysia
8) Belgium
9) Australia
10) Japan
11) South Africa
12) Singapore
13) Hong Kong
14) UK

So the UK is so far down the list that places that have zero natural resources like Singapore and Hong Kong.. are out selling to India.

How can that be?

And the UK can "get it back".. the last time the UK exported as a top exporter to India was when they ruled the freaking place. So wake up.

Sorry you don't like it PeteEU but when you're 17th on the list there is a lot of room for upward improvement. You might have had a point if they were already in the top ten as part of the EU. But now they have free reign to compete with those EU nations.
