Eh.....the man pulled off a feat nothing short of a friggin miracle, but best leader of the twentieth century? I don't know about that.

Well he's definitely greater than some of the choices offered.
I mean really unless you are looking for the greatest mass murderer why is Stalin or Mao even on the list?

From the thin and semi-left wing biased selection I went with Churchill.

As America grows less and less white, the top 1 percent will still be there, they will just be less white as well.

You forgot, also less wealthy. The 1 percent you speak of in the future will all be on food stamps. Socialism drags a country down not up, plenty of evidence of that to go around.

World leader? Hasn't been one yet.

A capitalistic system spiced up with with a tad of socialism might work in America.:2wave:

You left Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro off the list. How unthoughtful of you comrade.

I know everyone (myself included) hates what Adolf Hitler did and what he stands for, may he burn in hell but...

He took Germany from being one of the most deprived and socially fractured nations in Europe to the strongest, richest, and most unified nation in the world in ten years. His flaws and motives, as well as the motives of those around him, put him on a pedestal of great evil and darkness but he was the greatest and most amazing leader of the century.

That’s kinda like saddam and gaddafi holding Iraq and Libya together as countries. No telling how many murders the collectively commented.:(

If we look at just leadership qualities you get some pretty evil people on that list.

Personally, I think that since it's barely a decade and a half since the 20th century ended, we won't have any clear idea about this question until perhaps 2050, if then.

They are on the list because Ganthapy is a Maoist.

Already figured that out.
My comment still stands if you define greatest leader as the one who gets others to kill most people Mao wins but Stalin belongs on the list in 2nd place.
They were both completely evil scumbags.

Starting to think this question needed to more carefully define "greatest".

People must be careful when asking subjective questions based on adjectives

My personal vote goes out to the man on my avatar: Mao Zedong. Mao helped lead the Chinese guerilla movement during the Japanese occupation, and through a decade of hard fighting, managed to free China from Japanese fascism.

Mao was great but my vote goes to Stalin. He killed so many people 30 million or so, it as astoundi... wait, this thread IS about the greatest mass murderer of the 20th Century, right?

I think that you just misunderstood what they stood for... they were about tolerance and the future.
