Should Spain and Italy sink illegal immigrants' rafts so they never try it again?

Oh, totally. Better yet, turn all Italian and Spanish beaches into landmine fields. That will show them. Hell, why just the beaches? Cover the whole countries with randomly positioned motion-activated explosive devices. Legal residents and lawful visitors will be given deactivating transponders - for visitors, they will function only up to date of their visa expiration. And don't forget to make Africa pay for it.

Historically it's not been murder to kill invaders to those countries. But killing them does seem inappropriate in today's climate. Return them to the proper shore and destroy their boats. Might help to give them the message that they will never find a better life by invading.

People coming to live, work, and raise children peacefully in your country aren't invaders, they're immigrants.

No it wouldn't. It would make you a pirate, perhaps. If they can't swim to shore that is really their fault now, isn't it.

They sure are invading... entering without an invitation and taking possession intent on staying. Invasion. Invaders.

That is just ridiculous. You might injure some of your own citizens. I think you need to rethink that because there are far more effective ways to deter, or even kill, invaders.
 
And some wonder why they are on so many Ignore lists:roll:

I'm not an open borders person by any means but I also fail to see how trying to illegally immigrate (usually out of extreme desperation) qualifies as a capital offense. That's pretty disgusting to me. That aside, I'm kind of a realist and no bleeding heart. I'd probably support something like shipping them back to the closest shore and dropping them off.

People need to realize that they need to be responsible for fixing their own countries.
