I don't want politicians or the federal government to "care" about me. I'm not looking for a caring relationship here. As much as possible without becoming a hermit in a cave, I don't want them to even know I exist.

This is the best answer yet!

So, let me get this straight, you want to take from the rich and give to the poorer, including yourself, even though you yourself thinks that means you will not be as happy and content as you are now. That makes perfect sense.

Yes, he's proudly voting for Hillary Clinton because he thinks she cares about him. Hillary will make sure those evil rich people will have to give something to Frank...because she cares about him, you know.

I just made another post where I defined someone who wants a politician who cares as a person who wants the government to give them something without having to do anything in return for it.

Exactly. These people are contractors, not my parents. I hire them to do a job, and if they do it well enough, I might renew their contract.

Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, Wooden shoe!

Okay...that works. So you and Xfactor should vote for some Republican...and the rest of us should vote for people willing to defend us from the likes of what you might want to do.

What do we want to do?

Don't worry, they don't.

Come on now, that's a little harsh on him. It's true that his suggestion for a federal agency tasked with promoting "Judea christian values in Russia, China, and the Middle East" is out there, but he maintains a nationally conciliatory disposition that's rare in the republican base, especially in its current polarized state, and he also appears to be consistent in promoting a benign and benevolent version of Christianity.

well lets look at a quote of his. to Stephanopolous about what he was doing still in the primary race when couldn't win anything except Ohio and even then he didn't win his home state by with a majority.
so Kasich says that the convention will be some kind of fun cultural event
“I believe that a convention will look at somebody like me and that’s why I think I’m going to be the nominee … And we’re going to have an open convention.”
“Kids will spend less time focusing on Bieber and Kardashian, and more time focusing on how we elect presidents,” Kasich said. “It will be so cool.”

Some serious delusion going on with this guy. there is no way in hell he is the nominee even if it does go to a convention.
And of course if he thinks kids are going to tune in to the convention to watch him put on his clown shoes hes deluded about that too.

None of them.

They don't give a rat's ass.

If you think so, you're deluding yourself.

Neither does the other side.

absolutely none of them care about people like me and in fact constantly insult people like me, but the candidate least likely to undermine my rights seems to be kasich, although as a typical politician he's all over the place

the one who comes across as a complete tyrant towards me has to be ted cruz

Not sure there's anything more pathetic than grown adults whining that some stranger doesn't care about them.

Funny how for 7 years Republicans have spewed their hate at Obama for what they believe was his hatred of the US and its citizens and him purposely trying destroy the US and its citizens.

But when it comes to what we should ask of Republican politicians supposedly its not cool and it's weak to ask if they will care for American citizens.

Hmmmmm?

Geezuschristonacracker, I don't want any politician "caring" about me. I want them to leave me the **** alone. I don't need another adult, least of all a total stranger, caring about me.

Crap onna cracker- you must be extremely pleased with the way the GOP is working now- they don't give a hoot about less than the 1%- well they care for your vote, just not your welfare.

Course I guess a lot depends on if you lose your job due to the 'invisible hand' (CEOs that raped their companies and then bailed), or due to the trickle down from those collapses...

It's like cops- no one wants one around until you come home one night and find concealed carry doesn't protect your home if your at Golden Corral when the bad guys come...

Leave me the **** alone- until I need you and then be there on the double!!!! :peace

Talk about crap! Do you even realize that the Republicans in elections get much, much, more than 1% of the vote? Doesn't that tell you that there are millions of people out there who are not part of the 1% that vote Republican? Trump is getting a whole lotta votes and it isn't from his fellow 1% pals.

Hm ... as a European, I'd pick the one who is in favor of keeping on defending Europe (because our governments don't get the act together building up something remotely resembling a military defense) and ignore our whining about evil "American imperialism".

Who on the list will? Guess not Trump, he's too isolationist.

Kasich's strategy remains to refrain from engaging in the petulant demagoguery dominating the republican primaries and to contrast it with a sanguine and magnanimous disposition, in anticipation of the inevitable implosion of the current frontrunners and the ensuing sobering up of the republican base and its yearning for a prudent candidate to cleanse it of its shame. As the alternative remains to stoop to Trump and Cruz, it's a sound and a commendable strategy, regardless whether it'll pay off and regardless of the base on which Kasich is running and its current political climate.

Yes they can convince many high school, fearful of immigrants, angry over a loss of status, hateful in their view of gays and transgender to vote PUB. Now we are seeing the social conservatives at war with the traditional conservatives....

They 'care' about getting the vote- about actually stopping progress- not so much... major corporations are speaking out against the social conservative regressive state laws trying to roll back progress. So much for the 1% giving a rat's rump about social conservatism... ;)

Oh FYI, I doubt many people see Trump as a Republican- opportunist, egomaniac, narcissist, demigod, fearmonger- perhaps, but his PUB is a mile wide and a coat of paint deep... :peace

Crap onna cracker, you hate the GOP. Everyone knows that. Unlike you, I don't need politicians giving a "hoot" about me. My husband and I make great money and don't want it taxed to hell to give to people who haven't earned it. I don't have envy for the rich, and am very satisfied with what we have. I'm sorry for you that you're envious of the successful.
