If the race comes down to Hillary vs The Donald, who would you vote for?

attaching poll

Setting aside the fact that I don't vote for several reasons, the most prominent being that I don't feel it proper when I don't live in the country anymore...

Neither.

While Trump is outrightly, obviously, far-and-away the more repulsive candidate to me, the reality is this.

Voting for Hillary is voting for things to stay the same. While Hillary herself is relatively mundane as American politicians go, that is one of the highest insults that can be paid to a person.

Trump is disgusting in an obvious sort of way. He just comes across as a genuinely ignorant and terrible human being.

But how much do Hillary's better manners actually matter? She's owned by people who don't represent most Americans, and she'll gladly throw most Americans under the bus to get herself some perks.

A vote for Trump is a vote for chaos -- at least to whatever extent it matters, since the president has much less impact than most people think.

But voting for Hillary is voting for the continued degradation of the American people's well-being, in the same way it has been for the last several decades. It's been a grinding, depressing slide to watch.

Which is worse?

I can't possibly decide.

And however disgusting Trump is, there is some small part of me that wonders if perhaps it's better for him to throw America into chaos than it is for Hillary to keep on keepin' on, like slowly boiling a frog in a pot. Most people don't seem to notice that they're cooking.

But with whatever chaos Trump would bring... perhaps if that happened, people would wake up. It'd be a horrible 4 years, and probably a horrible decade or two later. But sometimes you need to rip it off like a bandaid.

Yeah. I've gotten to that point.

Of course, I could also be wrong. Perhaps Trump-induced chaos would change nothing. And if he gets elected, causes chaos, and no one responds, I will be so depressed at what has happened to my country that I will swear off American news to whatever extent I can. I can't take it anymore.

I don't know, man. I just know it can't go on like this forever.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she may be suggesting that law enforcement may take notice if Trump loses a lawsuit centering around fraud.

Then I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't read or didn't understand the post she quoted, given that the poster was very clear in what he said.

I hope all you rather over the Hillary but not really really types sit it out. I ll vote for Trump, he isn't a criminal waiting to be indicted. He will either shake things up or we will revert back to Congress doing pretty much nothing.

I kinda like the sound of that.

He was correct when he said that Trump isn't a criminal waiting to be indicted. There is also nothing to indicate that if he loses a civil case he will be indicted for anything.

Clinton. (Though the above-mentioned fork in the eye is vastly more appealing).

I still hope that, if it is Trump vs Clinton, polls in MA will be showing a solid Dem lead, and could vote for Gary Johnson (L) without mixed feelings. But it seems less and less likely - the local "blue-collar white guys" are increasing excited about The Donald. Gals too.

Interesting, so far the vote is about equal between the to candidates but both are losing out to the "neither" option.

i know this isn't a scientific poll or anything but you have to wonder if the results here aren't indicative of what will happen in November. I know a lot of people who won't vote for either one, myself included.

Currently I strongly prefer neither. If it came down to it where my vote decided the next president at this point in time I'd lean towards Hillary. The Obama admin has been horrible, and I think she's be bad for the country, but I can live with 4 more years of the status quo over a Trump presidency.

"Neither" is currently winning.

I wonder if a third party will be able to take advantage.

Since the only media attention any third party has received is on Stossel's show which has lower ratings than the Weather Channel I'm going with no.

It's not where the money is, at current. But if a good narrative can be whipped up, they love a story that gets ratings. It'd be interesting to see if someone could exploit the opportunity.

you'd vote for ted cruz the theocrat? Here i thought your pet issue was keeping christians from the white house

No, I wouldn't, but the question wasn't about Cruz or Sanders, it was only about Trump or Hillary.

I'll happily and proudly vote for Hillary Clinton.

Yeah, I guess defrauding people isn't nearly as bad as using a blackberry. lol
Why to folks always have to bring in a person's skin color...oh, sorry I thought you meant a black barry, as in Obama. J/k.

Seriously though, come on, you know that it was not her just using a blackberry, that is slightly disingenuous methinks. She was putting, at minimum, her convenience ahead of securing state secrets, some of which could/can/maybe did cost people with their lives. She was well aware of the consequences and yet did it anyhow. Do the crime, pay the time.

And truthfully, I think there are a lot of things hidden in those emails that are not quite above board and that she wanted to hide from everyone, especially the government she was working for.

I prefer neither, also, but if this were the only choice I'd pick Hillary... grudgingly.

Just note it'd most likely be 8 years, though. Americans love their incumbents.

Oh, you...lol

Considering how much traveling she had to do it...a blackberry would seem more convenient than...what? A land line?

I don't think there was anything nefarious in her emails. She offered up her emails for all to see...and as it turned out there wasn't much to see. She was a diplomat, not CIA like David Betrayus.

Oh, I think the highest classification of secret on a server that could, indeed probably was, hacked by our enemies and "friends", is not something to just shrug shoulders at. She specifically broke the law knowingly. She set up her server immediately after being tutored by the FBI as to what you can and cannot do at that level. That is not ignorance, or simple stupidity and convenience, that was purposeful flouting of the law.

She is a lawyer, supposed to be a pretty bright one [ I don't see it ], so she should know better.

You seem to have your own set of facts...none of which seem supported by the actual evidence. So don't be too surprised if Clinton doesn't get indicted. As for me, I will be very surprised if she does.

I will be astonished if she is indicted.
