Of these two, which do you think is more anti-American / unpatriotic?

1. Desecrating our flag.

2. Desecrating our land.

Can always make more flags.

Since the private ownership of land is how we do things here in America, what you do to your land is your business. The same goes for a flag--if its yours, do what you want with it. That said, intentionally desecrating an American flag is a sign of disrespect and hatred for the country. In that sense, to hate America is rather un-American

I want your definition of desecrating land too,

Because I get the feeling that your definition of desecrating land includes regular land-use like logging or ranching or agriculture.

Those things are not un American

Depends on the details.

Nope- you need permits to store haz waste, must be properly contained, must be disposed of according to law. You cannot legally pour haz waste on your land, or can you?

Liberals never fail to turn a discussion of the abstract into one of concretes. Too much to ask of them, I suppose

Your statement was a mile wide and a milometer thick.
Now if you wish to insult me, Liberal ain't gonna do it.

I don't know, but I don't think the problem that Flint Michigan residents have is that there aren't enough undesecrated American flags in their water.

Land, when it is needlessly messed up. Not used properly for the common good, mind you. Some have higher regard for the land than whom it is to serve, and that I can't agree with.
The flag itself is a symbol. We mustn't trample on the ideal of what the flag stands for.
Some have higher regard for a piece of cloth than human beings, and that I can't agree with.

I don't know what it means to desecrate out flag. A flag is just a symbol of our country, and our country is imperfect. For what it does wrong and right, it makes our flag a symbol of justice and injustice contingent upon the context.

But our land? That's a real thing. Destroying our land, weakening our natural resources for private greed, also harming out environment harming, defunding our state parks and state lands, etc, is all extremely intolerable and unjustifiable.

Desecrate the land how?

Pollute or needlessly damage. Say for example you burn an old growth forest just to do it or throw your old used oil out where it can be washed into streams. That kind of thing.

No that is not what I mean at all. I mean those that purposely start forest fires, go offroading in sensative areas and rut them up just to do it, dump their trash on the side of the road, or dump their used oil out where it can wash into rivers and steams.

People do that sort of thing all the time.

What is your problem?

There is literally nothing wrong with destroying the flag...

Why all this effort to determine "anti-american" like this? What are we really trying to prove?

What the **** is wrong with burning the US Flag?

Oh yeah, nothing.
