Do you believe that Govt is to serve the people?

I believe the government serves the government and will almost side with those that provide it the most.

You vilify them. Fact - A good number of Members do that. Republicans, many but not all love targeting the poor, those on welfare.

Vilify | Definition of Vilify by Merriam-Webster

So, you misspoke when you said "persecute"?

Can you give me a couple examples of this "vilification" of the poor? You realize we do an awful lot for the poor in this country, right?

Yes you do. Highest rate of poverty in the Industrialized world. Is that something to be proud of?

The Population of Poverty USA

In 2014, 47 million people lived in Poverty USA. That means the poverty rate for 2014 was 15%.

The 2014 poverty rate was 2.3 percentage points higher than in 2007, the year before the 2008 recession.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the number of people in poverty has remained unchanged from the previous year’s poverty estimate.

Andrew Coyne: Fewer people sit below the poverty line now than ever before. Why are we not talking about it? | National Post
In 2011, the latest year for which StatsCan has figures, the proportion of the population living on low income — that is, with incomes below the agency’s Low Income Cut-off (LICO) — fell to its lowest level … well, ever. At just 8.8%, it beat the previous record of 9.0%, set in 2010. As recently as 1996, it was at 15.2%. In 1965, the first year for which LICO rates were calculated, it was 25%.

Nice dodge. Did you or did you not move the goal posts when you used the term "persecute"?

Why is poverty so rampant after 7 years with Obama at the helm? Are leftist policies not working?

Get back to me if you want to have an actual exchange. Pretty pointless if you are just going to ignore all questions and challenges.

Not enough room - 10 is the limit

Mandatory 2 weeks paid vacation is not very generous. In the UK (possibly EU?) the mandatory minimum is 5.6 weeks (28 days).

put yourself in the shoes of the business owner;

"hmm, i could pay my employees >2 weeks for no work, >xx months time off, >xx holidays, or i could export my operations to a more business friendly nation".

and guess what, even if he doesn't, he gets out-competed by whoever did.
