From all the Muslim's I have met through my work or incidently outside of work, I have to say that the over-whelming majority have been the most kind, thoughtful and compassionate people I have ever met in my life.

I'd have to say the same.

Me, too.
I had a muslim boss for several years, who was the best boss ever.
I've also had a number of muslim neighbors and coworkers, who are thoughtful, pleasant, polite, intelligent, family-oriented people.
But they are hard to get to know, beyond the superficial.
I've only really known- like, to ask them for help or to talk with them about deep things- two; one was my boss, and the other was a cab driver I knew.

As they appreciate you, invite them over for a rock and roll pool party, barbeque pork roast, beer, and include some of your favorite bikini clad girlfriends.

Eventhough you would not do such things knowing that it would be insulting, and they might not be your friend for long; in a public majority of muslims, the law would forbid pork roast, beer, bikini clad women, rock and roll, and madd comedy, to name a few.

Re: Who are Muslim's?

I've known three and all three were fans of Saddam Hussein.

Re: Who are Muslim's?

one of my roommates a few years ago was an iraqi muslim who had immigrated to the US with her family when she was 13.

she was hard working (double majoring in physics and computer science), and very family oriented. those were the traits about her that stuck out. she was also a good cook.

According to bkhad, and I'm sure he will grace us with a few links later in this thread, these Muslims you are meeting are simply in a Jihadist conspiracy to earn your trust so they can take over this country and enslave us all.

Yeah, they may not even be real Muslims; they're probably clever androids.

The "law" in a "majority of muslims"? I don't understand what you're trying to say; you mean the general consensus?

The general consensus drafts law.

It's obvious you don't know any!

Im sure he'll come in and make this a Jihad thread soon. As far as the OP I had a Muslim co-worker and had no problems with him. Hell he was alot more social than I was.

Re: Who are Muslim's?

I have some muslim friends. I have to say that the general consensus on this thread is one I share. Most muslims are generally very kind people who aren't that much different than myself or others.....we just worship in a different way. Unfortunately, I feel that the good people who happen to be muslims suffer greatly from the bad PR that the islamic Jihad movement create by their deplorable actions.

Re: Who are Muslim's?

I have many Muslim friends and I also worked for two years with a team of three, me, a devout Christian, and a devout Muslim. We had some fun conversations and got along great during work and socially outside of work.

That is not true.
But I concern myself with the politics.
Personally I know almost noone who is a raving lunatic.
Almost everyone I know is polite and concerning, irrespective of faith.
Yet, in general, I know many people with personal agendas that are against mine.

I know quite a few Muslims. Nothing wrong with them.

Re: Who are Muslim's?

Anytime I meet someone who is from an Arabic land my 1st impression, sadly enough is: what if he/she's a radical? Always followed quickly by: what if he/she came here to flee the radicalism in Arabic lands?

What would you do if you were born in a backward 8th century hell like that and actually knew enough to recognize it for what it is; considering that all the while there was a land of inherent rights, individual liberty, religious freedom and private property rights on the other side of the planet that would welcome you in?

Re: Who are Muslim's?

You have a long way to go to dismiss that.

The majority of Americans like pepperoni's on their pizza, yet I can still get a sausage if I want one.

They are thoughtful and compassionate people to ALL of the “liberals,“ the type of “Well, ‘God Bless you‘ doesn't mean much to me, since I don't see any proof that there is a god. At most it offends me a bit” oh, wait “I already told you they it was offensive to me for you to say ‘God Bless you‘ to me,” or the ever popular “Jesus Titty-fvcking Christ”:

“* edit: I don't know the exact passage you're referring to, but more than likely I was referring to those godawful fundamentalist evangelicals.
I really can't stand those folks- pentacostals, southern baptists, church of christ, etc- and I don't think I'm alone here. I think that sentiment is shared by most Americans, including mainline protestants (who dislike being lumped in with the "fundies") and catholics, whom the fundy extremists actually persecute as being ‘not real Christians‘, not to mention the Mormons, ditto”

Hell that is just the first two wonderful freaking “liberal“ testimonials of wonderful Muslims, surely that will convince us.

Get the black stone idolaters you know to answer the questions, then I will give rats *** what your “liberals“ have to say because otherwise I couldn‘t give a damn:

Good one! He obviously has nothing to fear from the Islamifascists, oh, wait, I bet according to Iriemon that is disrespectful to the “fundamentalist” Taliban defending Muslims:

“…[6.48] And We send not messengers but as
announcers of good news and givers of
warning, then whoever believes and acts
aright, they shall have no fear, nor shall they
grieve.”
“[6.49] And (as for) those who reject Our
communications, chastisement shall afflict
them because they transgressed.”
“[7.36] And (as for) those who reject Our
communications and turn away from them
haughtily these are the inmates of the fire they
shall abide in it.
[7.37] Who is then more unjust than he who
forges a lie against Allah or rejects His
communications? (As for) those, their portion
of the Book shall reach them, until when Our
messengers come to them causing them to
die, they shall say: Where is that which you
used to call upon besides Allah? They would
say: They are gone away from us; and they
shall bear witness against themselves that
they were unbelievers…”

BOOM!

I might give up my little piggy pork sausage if I could be a more thoughtful and compassionate person.

I don‘t expect a Muslim or anyone else to be “thoughtful and compassionate people” all the freaking time, but I am also not going to even imply that there is anything special about a “believer.”

From all the dwarfs I have met, I have to say that the over-whelming majority have been the most kind, thoughtful and compassionate people I have ever met in my life. How stupid is that?

I could also say the same thing about albinos.

I come out of that baptism, “Saved,“ and I’m still rude, crude, and socially unattractive.

Obviously, A Muslim can be a thoughtful and compassionate person. Like damn, I bet 1069 is a thoughtful and compassionate BIGOT.

:rantoff:

I just want to know one thing, is the “very liberal” bigot suggesting that if I “convert” to Islam and give up my little piggies I too can be a thoughtful and compassionate person?
