    Re: Who are Muslim's?

I've known several, just as I've known people from just about all denominations. Some I liked, some I didn't. But I have not met a Muslim yet who was as self-righteous and imposing as a number of christians I've met. Ditto for Hindus.

I worked with several Muslims during 9/11. At that time, I knew little about the religion itself, but I had studied the culture some since I find Middle Eastern culture facinating. After the attacks, I made an effort to get to know my Muslim co-workers better, and talk to them about their religion. There was not one who approved - in any way, shape or form - of what AQ was doing or the message they were spreading. Not one. They were offended, appalled, devastated and afraid. They spoke with me quite openly about their beliefs and what they did NOT believe.

It was also about that time that I was starting my bellydance lessons with a ME instructor. Our first class was just days after 9/11. Much of that class was actually spent sitting and talking about what had happened, and about Islam. Our instructor told us why she only dated Muslim men, why she found them so much more respectful, kind, and compassionate than "most American men". She gave me insight that I don't think I would have been able to get elsewhere.

I'll also add that at one point in time at that job I had to set up the company luncheons. I queried all employees regarding food and drink so that I could be sure to have at least something for everyone. Not one Muslim said a damn thing about the roasted pig we had at one luncheon, I just made sure to provide them with something else to eat. Truth be told, I had a MUCH more difficult time with a militant vegan and a whacked out Christian woman who *complained* about the fact that we were serving soda. SODA! Apparently that was offensive to her for some reason. Her beliefs were such that we were only to drink milk, juice and water. (as long as it was all unprocessed)

Well I had a nice book of business with a Muslim man who owned several gas stations in the area. He was a nice enough guy, but he has since taken my book of business to another agent because he found cheaper insurance elsewhere. Makes me kind of mad that he switched, because I pride myself on selling comprehensive policies where the quality of insurance being provided is more important than just the price. I hope a tornado hits all of his gas stations at night(while they are closed so no one gets hurt) and he only receives partial compensation from his new insurance carrier because he wanted to save 500 dollars a year.

Oh and vegans have always been the bane of my existence. Never have I met a tolerant vegan....

It's bad to assert that Muslims are worse then other kinds of people, but it's stuid to assert that they're better, too.
And why does your tone suggest that you do not care about children?

I found that most of the muslims I know/knew around 9/11 were also afraid. Almost an 'oh great now we'll be public enemy #1.'

A couple of them were truly scared of being harassed...

I don't know how many times I've seen a visible Muslim being searched at the airport...

Most of the Muslims I know have had some type of hard time at the airport or border we live close to.

Radical Islam may be growing, but IMO true Muslims will never support that type of activity.

Yeah I did that once and he was pissed! Oh wait that was my vegan Christian friend.
Is that the trend, to digg at christians to divert attention?

You know, I felt just like you when a huge multimillion dollar shipment of aid for starving Ethiopians was rejected because of a rumor about pork, so Billo_Really thanking you for your two “SODA” Nazis has made me feel better about my bigotry due to the actions of MILLIONS of starving Moslems.

Only a damn Yankee calls it “SODA.” At future luncheons you will serve soft drinks or coke in my presence, like Coca-Cola. And when thanksgiving comes around you will serve dressing and not disgusting anal stuffing.

    Pay Every Penny Save Israel

That damn Yankee “Soda” is unacceptable, do you understand me?

I only have dated women other than your kind and find all of them more respectful, kind, and compassionate than whatever you are. Oh, but wait, I must speak more s l o w l y, your instructor was an IDIOT!
