Cool. In your business, do you find that you make the best decisions by understanding your customers, your market, and your product, or do you make the best decisions by throwing darts at dartboards, lying about your product, and screaming obscenities at your customers?

There is nothing in his background or character that suggests that is true; in fact, everything militates against it. Voting for Trump because you want those promises fulfilled is like sending your children to join ISIL because you want them to be safe.

Trump thumbs his nose at both Democrats and Republicans. That's what the voters like because they are also thumbing their noses at both parties.

Yeah, I agree that he's all over the place, whichever way the wind blows!

He's not liberal or conservative IMO, but nationalist; and out for himself.

He is a meglomaniac.

There are a lot of bad things you can say about Trump and most are probably true and he probably deserves it but I personally believe he really does want to make this country great again and that he isn't in it for himself.

Maybe...however I do not trust him.

I will vote for Cruz if he's the nominee. I won't vote for Trump. But I would vote for Cruz in duress. I would not vote for him because I trust him. The only ones I want to vote for are Rubio and Kasich.

We will have to disagree on that one. I cannot vote for Trump for obvious reasons and I cannot vote for Rubio after his moves on immigration in 2013. I used to like Kasich when he was in congress, however as governor he has gone squishy. I will vote for Cruz...not because of his personality versus the other candidates...I will vote for him because I do trust him based on his proven record of taking on the establishment politicians on both sides. I have met him personally.

What does trust mean? I can't remember if you are a far right winger or not but if you want someone to stand up for and implement policies of the Tea Party/Freedom Caucus/ Libertarian, then you probably can't trust him. Some he will, and some of his policies might wind up being downright liberal. He never claimed to be a Tea Partier.

Add to that, his own ginormous ego would never allow him to fail to keep that promise.

Not everyone has a rational compass of what is far right versus mainstream or moderate. Many see one degree to the right of moderate as far right. I consider myself a mainstream conservative. And the average tea partier and freedom caucus members are mainstream conservatives. We are what the republican party claims to represent if you read the platform they vote on and approve every four years at convention time. Moderates tend to see that platform as little more then window dressing meant to draw conservative votes whether it's followed or not. I trust Cruz based on what I have seen since he was elected to the Senate. He does not go along to get along. He calls them as he sees them. And he more then anyone else stopped a very bad immigration bill from slipping through. He does what he claims he will do. That's why I trust him.

Just out of curiosity, who do you consider to be far right?

Now that the evangelicals are signaling they are willing to go with more secular oriented candidates, I think those definitions are going to change.

Trump is a carnival barker. The man doesn't thumb his nose at both parties, he brags that he intends to work with both parties.

I've met Cruz personally as well. More than a few times. The only one still running who I have not met (and don't plan to) is Trump.

OK. I'll give you that. But he does do both, thumb his nose at both parties while claiming that he knows how to work with both parties.

Exactly. This is a guy who is going to have less backbone than a jellyfish in an actual fight over policy, who has demonstrated that his modus operandi is to work more closely with democrats, but who is also a thug. No thanks.

I went to one of Trump's first rallies in a football stadium just to see what it was all about. I later became disgusted with him based on his adolescent level of personal insults against his opponents. I see him as a very small man. I want nothing to do with him.
