I don't like Cruz. And there's quite a bit of ideological differences (although some overlap as well). But is he preferable to Trump, Hillary or Sanders? Infinitely. (But especially Trump).

Havent got any takers yet so Ill ask again, like I said I dont hate cruz but i defintiley diasgree with him. IMO he is an extremist and on a presidential level a nutter. Luckily for america, and I thank god for this, he will not be our next president. Anybody wanna take bets on this? Avatar or sig bets or both?

Could you take your taunts to another thread, please? I'm requesting that sincerely recognizing I have zero control over whether you respect my request or not. You wanting to make a bet is completely irrelevant to this thread and, besides, you might get takers if you started a thread just about that.

theres factually no taunts in my post, do you ever not make things up? nor is there any respect for your request because none is deserved LMAO. my post is relevant because it addresses whether i hate him or not, your post however is 100% meaningless to the thread. Like i said I dont hate him i just disagree and i am so positive a person like him will never be our next president im willing to take DB bets. :shrug:

I think perception in elections is everything, and Democrats have a hard time motivating their voters to come out to the polls. It's perceived by Democrats and the national media that Clinton has an aura of "invincibility" over Trump, which to me means if I'm a lazy Democrat voter and I believe my vote won't matter because all my friends are showing up to the polls, I might just sit out because I can't be arsed to bring my ass over to a polling station and wait in line for an hour. And this translates to low voter turnout. That's my biggest fear with Trump being nominated if I'm supporting Clinton, because Democrats are notoriously lazy when it comes to showing up to the polls.

With Cruz, his polling numbers show him at or even beating Hillary Clinton, which to me means more Democrats will be motivated to vote. And unlike Trump, I don't see much cross-over support going his way. Trump is distasteful to many in his own party but has a strange appeal to some conservative Dems and even a lot of black voters.

I actually think a Cruz nomination would be better for Clinton in regards to perception, and therefore would have higher voter turnout and win.

1.) I agree both parties have had trouble with this, seems like its a rollercoster effect though. I dont see that being the case right now for this election though.
2.) thats possible but i dont know any really that arent motivated to vote in this election more so than any other time. Seems about normal to me.
ALso again im not saying it doesnt happen cause it does but waiting an hour is a foreign concept to me, Its never taken me longer than 10mins to vote.
For this election i simply dont see it and havent seen any evidence of what you speak of, though it is POSSIBLE, its always possible for any group
3.) i dont think either cruz or trump will rally the other side to vote more so than the other, i think about the same amount will vote and it will be enough to beat either.

For me its not about worry or who i support or like its simply about how i feel the american people will vote and what the culture of the us is right now. I dont think that on election day trump or cruz every gets elected to be our next prez.

And that's the mentality that will get us killed. I'm of the mindset that we have to fight for every vote and assume the worst, every election, every time.

Im telling you what i feel the country will do. I plan on voting how i want to vote and i dont know anybody thats planing on not voting because of the assumption they are going to win.

Could you be right? of course it does happen i just see no evidence of it in this election any more than any other. In fact i see less. Now thats just my personal experience but thats why im going by.

I don't understand conservative Ted Cruz supporters who say Cruz is the most conservative. Is he a conservative? How do they explain Cruz's big government tendencies to combat terrorism and immigration? How do they explain Cruz's 'non-literalist' interpretation of The Constitution? Cruz is a constitutional lawyer? The lawyer part is right. If a SCOTUS interpretation of the guns portion of the second amendment determined the 2nd only dealt with militias, would Cruz call that interpretation constitutional?

It's a democratic republic, with the inherent pitfalls. Therefore, I hate everybody equally.
