"Hate" is an especially strong verb for someone I do not know personally. My dislike for Cruz came about when he shut down the government for no ostensible reason except for his own personal ego. ObamaCare was already the law of the land and there was no way Pres Obama was going to rescind his signature legacy. But Cruz did not care. I will never forget that event. I have read many articles regarding how Cruz's senate colleagues dislike him. Also, there is something about his voice that makes me feel so uncomfortable, to the point, I change the channel whenever he speaks. Other than that I don't have anything against him except I would not want him to be president of the US.
Did I mention that Cruz is an actual conservative? I do think Trump's campaign has been really useful. I like that he doesn't back down when the hand wringing get's too intense, but at the end of the day, I'm half afraid he'd turn out to be the biggest lefty president ever. Who know what he really believes?

He's an enemy of civil rights, but i think a lot of conservatives don't realize how much he's using them for his own gain. He all of sudden became a 'holy roller' when iowa came around, and he knows his own economic plan is psychotic. He's as much of a two faced liar as any i've ever seen
Search your feelings and vote. Poll on the way.
And that is primarily why I like him.
I don't hate Cruz, in fact, if he's the candidate I'll vote for him. However, watching him speak does creep me out a bit. Kinda like the feeling I got when Nixon ran. I just don't find him a pleasant fellow to watch. I have zero desire to "have a beer with him".
He is not more extreme than any of the other candidates. To claim that Ted Cruz is an extremist you would have to also say that Clinton,Sanders or Bush are extremist.Hate? no
Think he is an extremists? yes
Could ever vote for him? no
I couldn't really hate somebody like him without more actions.

I side 100% with Hillary Clinton
I side 97% with Ted Cruz

That's where I stand. I actually like GWB, Romney, Reagan, and quite a few Republicans on a personal level. My dislike towards Cruz has less to do with politics and more to do with personality. I just don't see how he would ever be a good leader for America. Kasich, Christie, hell even Trump have more leadership qualities than Cruz. You can't run on a platform of divisiveness the way Cruz does and build a coalition in our national government capable of getting things done during your 4 to 8 year tenure.
I think you're right about this. And I believe Trump can work across the aisle where Cruz cannot.

Why do you not find him pleasant to watch and why does he give you the creeps when he speaks? I don't see it. Shouldn't his positions and record be the issue? Not some superficial nonsense?
I'm "meh". I like his policies. Not necessarily him.
and probably not Rick Tyler either :lamo
or the Trump politician from NH calling the Pope the "anti-Christ" eace
looks like the GOP establishment is circling the wagons around the FOX favorite, Rubio
 Trump fans have now come full-circle, and are using the fact that he will fold as an argument for him.
But I think you are correct. In policy and inclination, Trump is a democrat. It's where his friends are, it's where he's donated money. He will probably have more natural allies there than on the R side of the aisle.
