Should Donald Trump be tried bribery? He openly admitted on national TV that he gave money to the Hillary Clinton,Harry M. Reid, Rahm Emanuel and other politicians because he wanted them to give him something in return. I am sure that if Hell freezes over and he wins the primary the media will make this an other nasty things about Trump a bigger issue in hopes that Clinton will have a easy victory.

This kind of bribery, while unethical and wrong has been legal for some time and was reinforced with the SCOTUS decision on Citizens United. It's what Bernie Sanders and Rand/Ron Paul have been railing about now for years. It's used by both parties to fund their campaigns, and by the top 1% and corporations to dictate social and economic policy in the US.

So, he openly admits to doing what every member of the 1%, and all major corporations do, "Lobbying" for influence with his money; but you want to target him for honesty?

The answer is no.

You cannot charge Trump with something like this just because you do not like him. They are all bribed both left and right, and worse it is more or less legal. Shady as hell, but legal.

Yes. And we can watch the trial on CNN 24 a day. Ship in bus loads of pundits so they can discuss Trump's hair, suit. Interview his baker, laundry woman and the guy at the taco stand

Then you will have your wish fulfilled: Trump, Trump and more Trump

Exactly. I hate how much influence lobbyists, corporations and rich donors have on our political system and want nothing more than to see this power limited. As do many, if not most American's. But what Donald Trump is and has done in the past is perfectly legal, currently.

Sanders has never accepted a campaign contibution?

Yup, so next election it will be better if billionaire vs billionaire?

As for 'currently'. What ammendment are you proposing to the Constitution?

He does not accept corporate contributions and Super PAC money. His current campaign chest is primarily from individual small donors and unions, the largest in history.

I'm unsure of how to correctly going about limiting corporate influence in politics. That is a good question.

Bribery?

There's no such thing as bribery in American politics, anymore! :doh

The SC has seen to that!

Did any of those other people openly admit to bribery? Its one thing to donate money to a candidate because you believe in that candidate's cause its a completely different thing when you are bribing that candidate for political favors.

No. He hasn't committed the offense of bribery because that would require personal gifts in exchange for political favors.

Primarily? So 'some' contribution from millionaires is ok? They don't have an interest in corporations? Stocks? Accordingly, he only accepts some bribes...depending on the size.

No there is no evidence of bribery but it sure speaks to Trump's character. Disclosure- I can't stand the guy and hope like Hell someone tonight in the debates sticks it to that pompous ass.

Everyone who gives money to a political candidate does so because they want something. So if you want to charge every single person who gave a red cent to Bernie Sanders with bribery, then sure, go ahead.

Are you aware that lobbyist have to register because of their role in the political process?

Don't you think that the elected officials are more responsible for taking money for favoritism? Aren't you letting Clinton, Emmanuel and Reid off the hook?

He admits in the video that he gave these people money for political favors.

The poster and the post don't match

C'mon brah...

Even if something like that would happen, The Donald would sing like a canary and he'd bring down the entire friggin system...

+++The flip side is that all those people he "bribed" would then have to be tried for accepting said "bribe".

Because it's not bribery, it's lobbying. *wink wink nod nod*

No, it is not "what every member of the 1%, and all major corporations do". What they do is contribute money to organizations to advocate in favor of policies they support and the give money to politicians they believe who support those policies. They do not give money to politicians in return for using their office to perform "business-related favors" for them (which is what Trump admitted to) because that would be a "quid pro quo" which is bribery and that is a crime.

I can't either. Dude's a liar who admits to doing/saying certain things just to get what he wants. Now he wants something from GOP voters. How anyone trusts anything he says is beyond me.
