Better yet, we should ban water. If you look at the globe, there's clearly too much of it.

Little boys would Love that idea, no more baths, yeah!

ROTFLMAO!!! You are quite paranoid to even think that is EVER going to happen, imo.

You might want to listen to some of our fellow citizens, some said Gays would never have the right to marry, some said pot would never be legalized for recreational use,.................never say never.

But the scrapings and sandings would be painful.

Gotta catch em first, they are fast and slippery little things and if there are more than one they run off in different directions. Best to just wait until they find that girls are not icky anymore and they will bath on their own, until then a room in a garage works for all concerned.

I know lots of British handgun owners who complied with their idiotic registration laws never thought they would have their property confiscated because one nut case killed some people

the government "leaders'" main goal is to stay in power and if they can do that by raping your rights in order to pander to the bed wetting gun haters, they will do that

Yes, some will do as they are told, even if it not in their or their family's best interests. Others, on the other hand, have a problem obeying Unconstitutional orders and stupid laws, me thinks a very Large number of Americans fall into the later category, thankfully.

in a Bradygasm, Cincinnati passed an "assault weapon" ban that required present owners to register their guns in order to not violate a law that was later ignored by our courts and thrown out by the Ohio Legislature. I know for a fact that at the time the law was passed there were thousands of such firearms that came under that law owned by people living within the borders of that City. Less than 100 were registered.

No, no, no and no.

I ain't giving up any of my guns voluntarily. They are going to have to come, beat the **** out of me, then try to find where I hid them, if they want them. Asking me nicely won't do it.

But I ain't worried about any of that BS. Nobody is trying to come and take my guns. That is just NRA type nutter-talk.

great to see red meat being dangled in front of the 'gun' rubbers....

Love when what happens in other countries gets drug here- never mind those nations lack a little thing called the 2nd A.

Love when the extremists warp the courts working correctly into a 'fear' that the bad ol' gubmint will do far worse than what the courts blocked... :doh

My question- does anyone REALLY think the feds are gonna ask you for your 'guns'???? :peace

It was just a hypothetical question... jeez.

If any more tears come out, then there would be a world flood so big that not even noah would survive it.

I doubt most of you would be singing the same tune if the government came to your door to grab your guns.

It's not gonna happen anyway, and it would be political suicide for anyone to suggest it. As a gun owner myself, I would detest the idea of this ever occurring.

The nutters do. The NRA wants you to believe that. That's their livelihood.

The smart people don't believe that at all.

They must have gone boating and we all know things can fall overboard, later to wash up on the shore right by your boat dock, amazing isn't it.

If the government asks us to? No...of course not. If the government demands and attempts to force? well...that would signal an end to the rule of law and Constitutional order, wouldnt it? In that instant, I would expect even the opponents of gun ownership to take up arms and do everything in their power to overthrow the tyrannical government and restore a Constitutionally based government. Similarly, I would expect every unorganized and organized state militia to engage, every active duty Serviceman to also engage.

Wait two years? Youre pretty new here.

Im 16, just to let ya know.

Well you are doing far better here than some experts. good job.
I fired my first gun at 6 or 7 and was carrying a real honest to goodness Assault Rifle (M16 and M60) by the time I was 18, a little before actually. Not to worry you will get there soon enough. I see you have your MOS already picked out, a good start. Consider moving to a more rational part of the country when the time comes, Texas can always use a few new good immigrant's, you might find the ladies are not bad here either.

Well... I have fired my fair share of guns (including a semi automatic AK-47 at the age of 11).

Its just, I do not OWN any guns for obvious reasons

Yes, that being Connecticut. Time will go by quickly, save your money.

The state has the power to regulate firearms?

Are you speaking from a philosophical standpoint or from a constitutional standpoint?

Philosophical.

The state has powers, not rights. Regardless of what those powers might be it still doesn't mean that the people should follow whatever the state says like they lack a mind of their own.

While there are cases where disobedience to civil law is warranted, this isn't one if them. Surrendering a firearm isn't immoral.

There is no set standard for civil disobedience or even fighting back against a government. Throughout history people have used different rationals, and while I don't consider all of them equally valid, more than a few of them have been somewhat successful. The government trying to take away your means of self defense is in my opinion a valid reason to defy that government and even remove that government from existence.

Literally anything can be a means of self-defense in some situation. Unless you claim (I know you do, but this is more directed to those who don't claim this) that the government can't ban anything, then the question of weapons regulation is a matter of prudential judgement, and defenestrating governments for bad prudential decisions is a rabbit hole.

Nevah...

All this background check nonsense is a paper tiger. Unless they (the ominous "they") prohibit person to person sales, it is a meaningless gesture done by politicians who'd give the Public the perception that they've done something. Closing the "gun-show loophole" will only move the sales to the Kinko's parking lot. (at least speaking for IL)

Youngster, I am soooo passed shedding any tears over this trolling meaningless crap so think is a debate you have no idea.... There have been ZERO (0) tears shed here, just hyper sensitive 'gun' rubbers working each other ahhhh let's just leave that as working each other up....
