If your state's primary was today, who would you vote for and why?

Paul. Great foreign policy ideas, which kind of effects my way of life due to my career choice.....I like his Audit/End the Fed ideas, he is very faithful to the Constitution, I believe he would work with both sides better than anyone else, and he doesn't toe the party line as hard as most others.
I'm also a proponent of the "good guy" factor. He genuinely seems like a good person. Good people tend to do good things (not always, but they tend to). I don't think Trump is a good person at all. I don't think any of the candidates are honestly.

Ted Cruz.Mostly because I agree with most of his views. It's a shame they don't do these quizzes based year due to the fact candidates do change their mind.Because I bet Donald Trump several years ago would line up with most of the things liberals like.
I side 98% with Ted Cruz

I'd vote for Fiorina because, from what I've seen, she has her head screwed on straighter than most of the others and she, along with Ben Carson, is one of the smartest folks on the stage.

As an aside, I took the quiz jamesrage posted and came up with Carson @ 88% followed by Cruz and Paul at 87% and 85% respectively. It also appears that I likely wouldn't with O'Malley on what day of the week it was:lol:

I realize he's not got a chance in hell this election, but I would choose Chris Christie. I like his background as a prosecutor, his track record of cutting out wasteful spending in NJ, his hard nose stand against terrorism, his assertive demeanor (which we need desperately in our next president), and he's someone I believe has the best chance to cut through the political gridlock and actually get important things done in DC.

Rubio would be my second choice, followed by Cruz.

.

^^

What he said.

I'm a fan of the guy from Jersey ...

Kasich-I believe he has the best chance of beating Cankles

Michigan has an open primary and I would vote in the Republican primary and for Donald Trump. He is by far the most objectionable and worst possible candidate for the GOP to give their nomination to and he would insure a Democratic party huge win in November.

This is why states should not have open primaries like this.

Why should a citizen be the property of a political party? The party should belong to the citizen and they should have the right to vote for anyone or any party they want to at any time.

See, this is why I made this thread and marked the results as public. I asked for only Republican voters.

Carson.

To help break the ownership the democrats have on the black vote.

To test an hypothesis I have that the grass roots GOP rank and file have racists tendencies; a Micahel Steele do over. Before his first day on the job, he was criticized by one of the leading pundits as "only getting the job as GOP chairman because he's black." My interpretation: unspoken view blacks are less competent than whites. This, followed by GOP loyalists refusing to donate to the party at the same levels as before giving the naysayers evidence that back up their unspoken view, but because THEY refused to support him.

Rubio or Bush, if Cruz, Carson, or Trump are the nominee I will support Clinton.

I'm starting to really hope that we have a third or even possibly a fourth party candidate run. I could see Hillary winning the nomination and Sanders running as a third party or vice versa and Trump winning the nomination and a real Republican running as a fourth party or vice versa. This could actually turn out to be one of the most exciting elections in the history of the United States, especially if Sanders and Trump win the Democratic and Republican nominations and Hillary and Bush running as third and fourth parties.

ITs not about being property of anything. Voting in a primary to set a party of up for failure is a dishonest piece of **** thing to do.A party primary is for voters who generally vote in that party, not **** sucking scumbags trying to set a party up for failure.

Yep. The question any voter needs to ask before voting is which candidate can win a general election. Kasich and Rubio are the only two that have a shot.

why? you will get the same justices from any of the GOP just as you will get more Kagans if Hillary or Bernie wins

So how is that Obama-care ruling and and their refusal to hear that state assault weapons ban going on?

You do know many of those liberal judges were confirmed to the bench with the aid of republicans?

in reality, the president should be able to appoint whom he wants as long as they are qualified. The Democrats of course pissed all over that tradition with what they did to Bork but the fact remains, The people Clinton appointed were qualified, and Quotamayor was as well. Fagan was academically qualified but didn't have the requisite experience as an attorney IMHO

How are they qualified if they make rulings that contradict the constitution?
