Does Trump really believe that he says? For exampel on one hand he says that the threath from muslim fundamentalist is so great so over one billion muslims should be banned from entering USA. On the other hand he has no problem with doing business with Saudi Arabia.

EXCLUSIVE: Trump eyes UAE, KSA and Qatar hotels | HotelierMiddleEast.com

Even if Saudi Arabia is one of the worlds most fundamentalist countries in the world that sentence bloggers to 1 000 lashes for critizing the religious police. That at the same time Saudi Arabia is one of the worlds biggest sponsors of terrorism and fundamentalism.

Sorry messed up with the poll. Can the moderators please add a poll with yes, no and other.

That site can't answer the question the OP asks. Only Trump knows if he believes what he says.

Trump is a very rich guy who is not afraid to say what he thinks.

Maybe he just does not think very deeply.

Maybe he just thinks it and says it without thinking very much first.

It's not like he is running for Dictator.

He is only running for President.

Without Congress and the Supreme Court on his side he really can't do anything except talk.

At least he will appoint better Justices than Hillary or Bernie would.

A better question: does Obama believe that ISIS is a JV movement, is now well contained and poses no existential threat to the US? IMHO, both Trump and Obama are wrong but many seem to prefer overreaction to a given threat than underreaction. The most bizarrre thing would be to declare that gun control would somehow make these terror attacks less likely yet that overreaction is deemed believable by many folks as well. Trump believes that we can, and must, do better at border security and vetting which foreigners may legally enter or remain in our country.

Does any politician?

If you want to know for certain, this is an excellent place to check his claims:

Thank you for the link! But in this thread I was more curius if Trump really believe that he say.

Because it seem a bit strange that he want all companies that do business in muslim countries to suffer from a ban on all muslim visiting USA, including companies that does business in moderat muslim countries. Not only that but all companies doing international business will suffer. Because I don't think many countries will accept registering all muslims and puting a M in their passport so people going to USA for business meetings have to go through some form of veting process. Also many companies executives will probably be offended and angry that some of their qualified staff can't go to business meetings in USA just becuase they happen to be muslim. While at the same time Donald Trump's companies is planning to profit from business deals in Saudi Arabia one of the worlds or proably the worlds most fundemantalist muslim country. That also is a global sponsor of terrorism and fundamentalism.

The same goes with illegal immigrant that as I undestand it Trump have made extrem and costly claims that for example that he as a politician will deport all illegal from USA and build a wall against Mexico. But as a businessman he is not willing to pay the cost for routines and procedures to stop illegals from working on his contructions.

I am talking about preventing some Americans from having their family visit them for religious reasons.

BFD, the Americans can go visit them. UNTIL WE GET OUR SECURITY straight.

He believes that what he says will get him elected. I do not think he believes what he says.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia beheads hundreds of people. At least 151 so far this year. 71 have been foreign nationals. A lot are drug offenses, but last year they beheaded someone for sorcery.

This is the regime that Presidents kiss. Well, one president did. On the lips.

Nope. That does not solve the problem. That requires discrimination against the members of a religion.

They also sentencing elderly UK citizen to 360 lashes for the possesion of wine. Thankfully he didn't get flogged but it took over a year to get him out of jail.

Also if I was a muslim I would obvius be pissed of at evil terrorists calling themself muslims. But I would also be pissed of at the west. Because on one hand you have politician like Donald Trump wanting to have new laws that will negativily affect all muslims and not only fundamentalists and terrorists. On the other hand western countries support brutal and fundamentalist regimes like Saudi Arabia. That at the same time western businessmen like Donald Trump have no problem with doing business in those countries.

Also western countries have for a long time messed up the situation in the Middle East. Take for example how USA overthrown the democratic and secualare Iranian goverment in the 1950:s. That yes USA and the west got cheaper oil for almost 30 years. But the Iranian people had to suffer under a very brutale regime and after those 30 years the regime was replace by a fundemantalist regime hostile to USA and the west.

It is good there is no poll in this thread.

it would only have one vote as only Donald Trump knows if he really believes what he says.

I don't know about that. We can make a very informed guess. Like him or not, he's obviously not a stupid man, and with what he's said there are really only two choices. He's a f'ing moron, or he doesn't believe what he says on a lot of this stuff.

There is a reason he says everything he says.

We just don't know what the end game is yet.

Possibly, but that doesn't change the fact that a lot of stuff he says is provably wrong, impossible, ridiculous, etc. and I don't think he's stupid enough to believe a lot of it.

It's 237 pages. Can you be more specific? A quote is fine, or a reference to the appropriate section. Thanks!

From 8 U.S. Code § 1182 - Inadmissible aliens

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.
