And that's you, I guess, expressing yourself. I picture teen-age girls looking over your shoulder and giggling.

I'm not surprised, I've never noticed you get anything right.

So the FBI is wrong?

Why do you think that?

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

It depends on how you define terrorism.

The definition generally is taken to mean a violent attack against a civilian target with the means to intimidate another group of people.
So techncially, by that defition, it is.

BUT, whether it remains to be from an islamic extremsit or somebody else remains to be seen.

And we really shouldn't give in to knee jerk resposnes. They never help anything.

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

I voted "something esle". While it appears obvious that it's a terrorist act, it seems as though there's a work element to it. That well may just be a convenience but it's odd none the less.

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

FBI has labelled it a terrorist attack.

I don't see any uncertainty.

The FBI used the clue about the ISIS/ISIL post of allegiance as their cue.

This suggests self radicalization same as at Ft Bliss TX.

Now the crime scene and investigation becomes the FBI's jurisdiction.

It still seems like someone trained the two shooters -- at least one of them.

Still don't know exactly who did -- whether ISIS/ISIL or Al Qaeda.

Based on the trips to Mecca and to Pakistan it seems more likely to be Al Qaeda In Lebanon.

The CIA will need to help the FBI find out for sure though.

Attention will now be focused internationally and to the Middle East.

And that would be the CIA's jurisdiction.

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

It doesn't. Those two at the Boston Marathon were acting alone, too, far as I know.
I don't get what they were were trying to accomplish, though. To me, it looks like they just lost it and blew whatever plan they might have had.

And I could do without the eye-rolling smiley. And so could you- those emoticons are for people who can't express themselves.

or they want to say something more vulgar but cannot because of the rules of the forum.

I think the work related part was a distraction from their original goal to hit a theatre or a mall. But just my guess.

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

Of COURSE it was a "terrorist attack". Ask the FBI if you don't believe me. But, the Islamo-sympathizers in the Obama regime steadfastly refuse to admit it, and that should tell us a great deal more about this creature that we elected, and RE-elected to the highest office in the nation....

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

Just because the individuals were fundamentalist Muslim, created an explosives lab in their home, expressed a commitment to ISIS and the cause of fundamentalist Islam, and executed an actual attack against unarmed citizens, that doesnt make it a terrorist attack. And it definitely doesn't make them Muslim. It was probably someone just really upset at the spur of the moment that he didnt get included in the office party Christmas reindeer games. So really...you see...it was sort of the people he worked with...it was their fault. I heard his family say someone even made fun of his beard once.

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

This ties into something I've been thinking... Does Obama want to insist it's not terrorist in nature because that would ruin his claim that the country was safe and no terrorist attacks happened on his watch?

Damn, that's cynical, but I can't help it.

It's not cynical - it's realistic. It's why you have the whole Benghazi mess. The White House narrative was fabricated to get them through the 2012 elections.

And please do ignore any activity that may have been around his house, they were simply Middle Easterners out for a walk and receiving early Christmas presents. Nothing to see here folks, look away and be proud you don't profile.

Clearly, the guns were to blame. :2razz:

If we stand a snowballs chance in hell of NOT becoming another terrorist battle ground we MUST unite, must commit to calling it what it is and commit to fighting it together. NO...its not all Muslims..but by damn...if that 'vast majority' of 'good Muslims' got on board and unified with every other concerned citizen and worked to openly and aggressively target this kind of behavior, we might stand a legit shot. This cant be about "we dont want to offend' or "we really better not call it terrorism" or "golly...we Muslims really are sad about that". Its a war. Its a war against people committed to bringing about the death of non-fundamentalists. Im so ****ing tired of the apologists running around excusing it or blaming the US and other western countries. that's all bull**** and it needs to be called out. The same fundamentalists that are killing people in San Bernardino in the name of fundamentalist Islam are the same ****heads killing their own daughters because they wear lipstick or their wives because they dare to want to work a second job or their daughters for wearing western clothes or dating outside of their religion or...hey...how about the ones that kill women because they were raped. THAT is fundamentalist Islam. Not oil, not US...THAT is what fundamentalist Islam is. We better wake right the **** up.

Really...its the NRAs fault. Even though California has some of the most ridiculous gun laws in the country and regardless of the fact these guys were building bombs in their home...obviously...its the NRAs fault.

The neighbor said there were half a dozen or so Muslims going in and out of that place on a regular basis. Either a-those were some of those 'good' Muslims we hear about or b-they were more fundamentalist extremists. If they were the 'good Muslims and they were going in and out of what is being described as a bomb factory, why didnt they say anything? And if they were more fundamentalist Muslims...were are they...and whats coming next?

Re: Was the SB shooting a terrorist attack, or something else?

Hard to call it terrorism at this point, until some motive is found. Terrorism has an agenda and so far, to my knowledge, none has been identified.

Well...let's see. They planned ahead of time and killed 14 people randomly, they left remote control explosives at the scene of the crime. They had tons of ammo and more bombs at home. The female of the pair expressed allegiance to the leader of ISIS on social media. They were visited often by middle eastern men, and took all sorts of strange deliveries into their garage. What do you think? Terrorists? Or hobbyists?

Who is denying that this was a terrorist act? Oh let me guess... You heard it on Fake news.

I'm sensing that the work aspect is coincidence. I think he had the job first, became "radicalized" later, then used work issues as a pretext.

I explained this elsewhere in the thread. To me, it looked like they were preparing for a terrorist attack and then blew their wad on a workplace revenge thing. Listen, it was early and we were all speculating. There's been news since but I don't see anything that says I was 'way wrong.
And if it turns out I was, I won't care. Like I said, we're all just guessing.

Exactly. Speculation was acknowledged up front in this thread. Facts have been slow to come with this incident.

My response was to the poll question choices -- not to you. To my knowledge, the only people who are "looking the other way" and refusing to acknowledge that these crimes in California were terrorist attacks are your people in the Obama regime! The last thing we heard from your wonderous President Transparency was that this whole thing might merely be an outgrowth of "workplace violence"....

This is very reminiscent of Benghazi, when all the bigwigs in the Obama regime were lying through their teeth, telling the world that the murders of our ambassador and his companions were as a result of a spontaneous reaction to an idiotic anti-Islam video, when they KNEW that it was pre-planned, well-organized Islamic terrorism!

The old Sicilian proverb holds that "fish stinks from the head down", and this Obama regime stinks with bald-faced LIES on everything from Obamacare to welding us into commitments to Afghanistan until the year 2024!
