The gun advocates are always saying "arm the good guys," so let's see what they think of this idea.

And what you think, of course.

Good idea, I would support it.

That's up to their employers. Planned Parenthood property is not an automatic gun-free zone. I'd have no problem with it if their employer didn't.

Perhaps the better question is why should someone of legal ability be prevented from carrying a gun? Workplace restriction? Unsure the individual has much say on this one.

Hm. Now that is a tricky pickle. Should people whom I believe are engaging in murder carry weapons in order to protect themselves while doing it.

Ultimately, yes. The Pro-Life side isn't going to win this fight with violence, and so I support the Pro-Choice side should protecting themselves from it.

Yes, but with the proviso that the guns are properly secured from patients and those choosing to wield firearms are fully trained in their safe use.

If they want, sure. Though it would be up to PP as to whether or not they wanted to have that policy.

The patients are under enough stress as it is. Armed workers would likely just serve to make that stress even worse. I would be fine with security guards outside the buildings, but if I were running PP I would want the interiors to be gun-free.

Other than property restrictions, why wouldn't they be able to carry?

LOL. You act like everyone in planned parenthood caries out "murder."
The pro life side isn't going to win, PERIOD. They're regressive, and extremists are only making it worse for them.

I'm with Maggie; if corporate policy allows carrying and an employee has a concealed-carry permit, why not?

The question wasn't whether they legally could. In most situations they can.

The question was whether they should.

I suppose if they can, that answers the question. I believe if you're able you should.

If it were a bank robbery where someone was killed, the guy driving the getaway car is equally guilty.

If you think being against murder is regressive and extremist, you're in the wrong country.

I voted other. In general they are legally allowed unless otherwise told. It is a decision thats up to individual facility or cooperate rules though.

Unfortunately people resorting to violence in order to limit the rights of others and terrorize them is not new. With all the lies being spread out there and the number of stupid and uneducated people to drink this mentally retarded nonsensical propaganda there will be those evil and insane enough to act out. These attacks have shown a recent spike because of the rise of both (lies and stupid people who believe them) but It will die down eventually as more lies are proven false.

I always laugh at the false rage aimed at PP, I dont know what the "national ratio" is (maybe its drastically higher) but in PA there are 36 PPs, 11 do abortions, in Ohio 28, 3 do abortions. So the nonsensical claims about murder and baby killing factories and abortion is all PP does always gets laughed at because thats all lies like that are worth.

This thread is about PP, PP employees carrying firearms and abortion

Murder has nothing to do with it and being against murder has nothing to do with it either LOL

No, they should honor the opinions of most that support them. The (politically?) correct thing to do is to patently wait for five hours, or so, for government security forces, those that should have military style weapons, to come to their aid. Personal security is a luxury that should be reserved for the rich and powerful, not mere peons that might abuse that state issued privilege. ;)

Might have helped, or might not. Lots of the victims were armed and, presumably, trained.

Only if they want to.

I think you mean 'patiently wait.' It would be difficult to patently wait without making some kind of broadcast that you're waiting.

Some gun advocates might quibble with the idea that people who operate abortion clinics are "the good guys." Besides, don't liberals generally abhor guns? Don't they usually just call the cops so they can take statements and count the bodies?

I have wondered this very thing. I'll tell you this much, if I were to run a reproductive health clinic where abortion services were provided, it would not be a gun-free zone.

No, employ armed guards if need be, but doctors and nurses should do their medical jobs and not carry guns.

Guns in medical facilities? Hell no.

Unless it's someone like this guy...
