I'd pick Trump. First, he is entertaining. Second, a lot of the more absurd things he has said he would do would be stopped by the courts. The wall would be a waste of money but it wouldn't be the end of the world. I think when push comes to shove he will be more moderate in real life than he is in the campaign.

Carson is a theocrat and theocrats in charge of the military are a recipe for disaster. But he wouldn't be the worst because I don't actually think he would get much done. I think he would be a fairly inactive president.

Cruz? There would be nothing funny about a President Cruz. The thought of him winning is very scary. We're talking WWIII, trying to bring upon Armageddon scary.

Of course they can, Cruz isn't crazy though. Some of the stuff he is spouting could be defined as crazy but IMO he's just getting off on manipulating people, not unlike Glen Beck.

Hmmm, I tend to disagree. I think Cruz, first and foremost, is an evangelical radical who wants to install a theocracy in the United States. He uses his intelligence to get his ideas into government. Very dangerous stuff.

Exactly. Carson and Trump are both politically dumb and say politically dumb things but Cruz is politically smart and still says politically dumb things. He the scariest of the bunch, thankfully this is an impossible hypothetical as none have any real shot to be the republican nominee

I am guessing that since Cruzzer is from Texas that this is why you are jaundiced in his favor.

Texas has had it's share of candidates recently.

Perry fizzled out but was from there.

GHW and GW were both from there.

LBJ was from there.

I did not like any of them and did not vote for any of them nor would I ever do so.

I actually believe Cruzzer is crazy, sure.

But I think The Donald likes him and that the Cruzzer will be the VP on The Donald's ticket.

Reagan made a few movies with a monkey.

The monkey would have been a more intelligent POTUS than Reagan was.

As far as being competent, any of the governors in the GOP race would be competent except possibly Huckleberry who is a religious fanatic.

Next to the governors any of the senators as well, although Cruz and Paul are my least favorite because they are both filibuster fools and will filibuster anything they don't like.

Cruz has tried to shut down the government several times. No patriotism.

Paul is filibustering any treaty renewal in the Senate now until he can defund planned parenthood.

Imbeciles and idiots both of them.
 
Honestly I believe that it will come down to one of these three in the repub primary.. What do you guys think?
And I already know who would rather die.. But for those of us who are willing to talk about it and pontificate on it..

They do not know.. To a lib, anyone who is remotely religious (christian) is a theocrat. Hell they have claimed that about many people in the past. ANd we still do not have a theocracy as Iran does..

Cruz, he's all about smaller guberment, the constitution and doing the right thing... All one has to do is look at who both sides hate, that's the person who scares them all (DC) the most. Cruz is the guy who will actually represent the American citizen.. And to those who call him "crazy" just ask Alan Dershowitz what he thinks about him.
 
I hate all three choices, but if I had to choose one, I'd go Trump because the other two are literally insane.

I will happily vote for Cruz. I can't trust someone who changed party affiliation five times and basically changes his views just because he thinks it will get him elected.Carson is too much of a nice guy.
