Just curious if you had to choose would you rather have a Third Party President or a Third Party having a majority in congress?

Why would you want a third party.

Why would you want a third party.

Because I view the GOP and the Dems are bloated and many ways corrupted and really just the same party.

Despite the fact they are diametrically opposed on nearly every issue

From Europe the differences within the US parties are on most issues larger than between the say 5 major parties in Germany. You get variety not via more parties but through greater independence from party control.

Neither. As bad as both parties are, all of the third parties I'm aware of are just more extreme versions of the same ideologies.

well, if we operated as specified in the Constitution, I would rather have a 3rd party Congress.... but i voted for 3rd party President.

I did so because of the habit of recent Presidents.. and the promises of futures ones.. to circumvent Congress.

there is no sense in a 3rd party controlling Congress with Presidents who circumvent Congress at whim.

Since our government isn't a parliamentary system, having a third party with a lot of power would suck ass.

Only on the things that the big corporations don't really care about, like abortion, civil liberties, gun control and such. When it comes to putting more wealth and power into the hands of those at the top, regardless of their rhetoric, most of the Democrats and Republicans all toe the same line when it comes to actual legislating.

Though I'm not confident another party would be any different.

IF those 3rd party politicians agreed with most or all of views I would want both.Although I could settle for a congress in that case because they would have the balls to stand up to the president. What pisses me off about the republicans is that they won both houses due to opposition to Obama-care and executive amnesty but have done little to nothing about it.Instead they vote for a crony-bus bill that throws away all their bargaining chips and even when they were winning on just the security bill they still cave. No one votes for one party over the other thinking to themselves Gee I sure hope the guy I voted for gives the opposition everything they wanted.Sure lib-tards occasionally post threads whining about republicans not giving democrats what they want. But if the shoe was on the other foot then they would be screaming bloody murder about fake democrats.
