Black on black crime is largely motivated by socioeconomic factors more than anything. Put a bunch of poor people of any race in a poor part of a large city where economic opportunities are scarce and upward mobility largely nonexistent and the results are not hard to predict.

When we see any kind of disproportionately high amount of crime being committed by one ethnic group, it should draw heightened concern.

Looking purely at the statisics, and considering incidents-per-capita, it is clear that Blacks are considerably more violent than other racial groups. They are violent toward everybody -- Asian-Americans, White Americans, and, each other. The whole miserable syndrome has gone completely out of control, and now the matter cannot be corrected or even discussed intelligently.

We're all drowning in a sea of political-correctness, which ignores everything that doesn't heap praise and admiration on all things Black, while it piles scorn and disdain on anything White.

I don't think anyone denies the high amount of crime, what we need to address are the conditions that lead to this. Socioeconomic factors such as poverty, unemployment, low wages, drug addiction, underfunded schools..

The Obama administration assures us that the unemployment rate is greatly improved in this country, and they can prove it: Table A-15. Alternative measures of labor underutilization

Poverty? The Democrat Party has been throwing billions upon billions of dollars at "poverty" since FDR, and especially since Lyndon Johnson's "War on Poverty" back in the 1960's. But throwing welfare money at the situation is not, and never has been the answer. "Objects at rest tend to remain at rest"....

Low wages? Everyone, from brain-surgeons to garbage collectors, earns exactly what he/she is WORTH in a free-market economy. It's really that simple and uncomplicated. If a burger-flipper is actually worth $15.00 an hour, then they'll earn $15.00 an hour. If not, they won't. The United States Government has nothing whatever to do with what someone is worth and what they are not worth in a free labor marketplace.

Drug addiction? People have been throwing their lives away since the dawn of time. If that's what people want to do, then it's pointless to throw even more billions of dollars at trying to stop them. This world has approximately 7 1/2 billion living people on it. The ones who want to succeed, achieve, and enjoy an enriching, self-fulfilling life can do so. The trash that wants to throw their lives away are going to do that, and perhaps the best thing to do is get out of their way so they can go ahead and get it over with. It's a totally personal decision!

Underfunded schools are a different matter. There, I'm all in favor of spending the month to insure that rigorous discipline is being enforced in every public school classroom. The students must behave themselves, follow instructions, and be willing to learn. Order should be preserved by however much policing is required to stabilize the out-of-control mayhem we see in the public schools. And, if a student will not comply with behavior standards, throw them out and KEEP them out. There are plenty of others who want to improve themselves and learn what they need to know to be successful. The trash can go jump in the toilet. Then, we FLUSH it.

Except for the illegal activity of drug use leading to addiction ...

When you are able to explain why the majority who suffer those conditions do not engage in illegal (violent or otherwise) activity, you will then have the true answer.
It is likely that those conditions will not be the reason.
