It's interesting that a political party puts the fate of a US election on th ability for a foreign nation to function. Because of this Republicans are allowing the insurgents and terrorists in Iraq to decide who wins our US elections. If they up the fight for the next year they know Democrats will sweep the elections and if they hold back on the fighting they might get Republicans elected.
Do Democrats want Iraq to be a peaceful and successful nation? Yes.
Do they want to achieve this no matter the extent of harm (politically, financially, or physically) America receives? No.
Do Democrats want to put the control of the US military and economy focused on the war into the hands of a so far incompetent Iraqi Government? No.
Do Republcians want to achieve a "win" no matter the extent of harm (politically, financially, or physically) America receives? Yes.
Do Republicans want to put the control of the US military and economy focused on the war into the hands of a so far incompetent Iraqi Government? Yes.
