That is a question that I cannot answer in any honest or useful manner, without making a distinction between legitimate immigrants who enter and live in this country according to the legal process established to do so; and foreign criminals who illegally invade this country. It is an inexcusable and highly-offensive slur against the former to lump them in with the latter.

You can yawn until the cows come home, it won't change your attempt to revise history like Mexicans do.

Imagine that women are being murdered and dumped in the desert and the police do nothing about it. Imagine that you've been waiting years to legally move your family to the United States and it's just not happening.

If you'd do anything to provide for your family and keep them safe, then illegally moving to the United States would seem like a pretty good option, right? So a quality that makes us so virtuous is the same quality that makes them scum. Hypocrites.
That's real nice, but I know people who came to this country illegally initially. NONE of them mentioned anything that you threw out there as a reason for coming here. In EVERY case, it was simply a matter of looking for work. Yes, I'm sure that you can find someone willing to tell the tale you told, but the TRUTH is that the overwhelming majority are here for WORK.

I have a very positive view of Latino immigrants.

Just think if not for an illegal immigrant I would not have been born and able to bless you all with my intelligent and witty posts. So don't tell me nothing good comes out of illegal immigration!

I saw this hilarious video on a guy's twitter and I figured I'd post it up here. Well, vote in the poll. You will either view them positively and explain, negatively and explain, or neutrally and explain.

    EDIT

The subtitles are clean, if they were accurate, there'd be a lot more swears in there
I can't provide an opinion when you include a qualifier like "whether legal or not".

If they are legal, I think they are some of the more harder working, family oriented people around.

If they are illegal, I think they are law breaking scum who need to be deported yesterday.

The fact is, it doesn't matter if they are Latino, Chinese, Korean, or Canadian. If they are living in the US illegally, they can go screw themselves. If throwing them out on their rear ends causes harm to their loved ones, let them explain why they chose to allow that to happen.

The average Mexican heard that **** and saw it as an attack on Mexican culture and values. Whether they're here legally or illegally is pretty much irrelevant. They saw it as an attack on them. That's not something they're going to let go of that easily. The best the GOP can do at this point is distance themselves from it all. Otherwise, 2016 will mean another Democrat in the WH.
I think you are 100% right, and I can't really blame them for that either...

I understand what Trump meant, at least what I think it meant, and it would be different than what a typical Latino would think..... it's unfortunate when good PC skills comes in handy.... because Illegal immigration IS a problem, it's not something that can just be dirt swept under the rug, but you don't just add more dirt to the pile from outside either....

The fact is Mexico has problems, bigger problems than the US does.
The fact also is that countries have a legal immigration system, for a reason.... some don't allow anyone at all, and I think the US allows more than most.

It's too bad this devolves into an emotional battle instead of a logical one...to trumps fault

And you don't think they want to work to provide for their family? Isn't that why Americans want to work too?

Re: How do you view the average immigrant from Latin America?

Generally I view them as some hardworking people. They come to the US to work and they usually do...and they take some physically demanding jobs. That's my personal view of them.

Illegal immigration overall though not focusing on placing attributes to a group...I also see illegal immigration as a supply of cheap labor that has pretty much driven down wages for a lot of jobs.
