President Clinton impeached - Dec 19, 1998 - HISTORY.comthe Starr Report outlined a case for impeaching Clinton on 11 grounds, including perjury, obstruction of justice, witness-tampering, and abuse of power,
That's all people think about when they think about his impeachment. People remember what they want to remember.
When people think of Reagan, what do they remember? How he was involved with Iran Contra? How he "misremembered" anything about the sale of arms to Iran? No, they remember an old dude who is revered by the Right, who loved Jelly Beans and allowed his wife to bring a psychic into the White House.
Bush 43 will be remembered for many things, but one of his biggest debacles was the "Mission Accomplished" thing on the aircraft carrier.
Each president, no matter what good he has done, will only be remembered for the bad that he has done. It's rare to see it happen any other way. It's not fair but life isn't fair.
