I'm still alive so in that regards he's been adequate.

Foreign policy, I would say one of the worst ever. Our enemies are stronger and our allies dont trust us.

I was surprised and happy with the way he has kept us safe from terrorism but he blew it by the way he's handled Iran and Isis.

If i had to describe him in one word, I would say "soft". I think we need somone fresh, with strong leadership skills and with a backbone.

Still have a short memory? Did you sleep through the first 8 years of this century? I really do wonder

The problem is that you don't have enough information for me to engage you in a discussion on this issue. I'd have to put in effort to educate you, and it would be for naught.

Yep, you slept through GWB's presidency. I on the other hand lived through it.

You mean the part where Saddam hid the WMD's in Syria, thus justifying the Iraq Invasion?

Obama as great President?
That reminds me, someone should start a comedy thread.

Now I know your problem. You are looking at things in hindsight instead of what was happening at the time.

I know that Cheney and Rumsfeld launched an intelligence operation designed to give credibility to faulty intelligence in order to justify the Iraq Invasion. If Obama did anything remotely like that, he'd be lynched.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Special_Plans

In an interview with the Scottish Sunday Herald, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer Larry C. Johnson said the OSP was "dangerous for US national security and a threat to world peace. [The OSP] lied and manipulated intelligence to further its agenda of removing Saddam. It's a group of ideologues with pre-determined notions of truth and reality. They take bits of intelligence to support their agenda and ignore anything contrary. They should be eliminated."[3]

Seymour Hersh writes that, according to an unnamed Pentagon adviser, "[OSP] was created in order to find evidence of what Wolfowitz and his boss, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, wanted to be true—that Saddam Hussein had close ties to Al Qaeda, and that Iraq had an enormous arsenal of chemical, biological, and possibly even nuclear weapons (WMD) that threatened the region and, potentially, the United States. [...] 'The agency [CIA] was out to disprove linkage between Iraq and terrorism,' the Pentagon adviser told me. 'That’s what drove them. If you’ve ever worked with intelligence data, you can see the ingrained views at C.I.A. that color the way it sees data.' The goal of Special Plans, he said, was 'to put the data under the microscope to reveal what the intelligence community can’t see.'"[4]

These allegations are supported by an annex to the first part of Senate Intelligence Committee's Report of Pre-war Intelligence on Iraq published in July 2004. The review, which was highly critical of the CIA's Iraq intelligence generally but found its judgments were right on the lack of an Iraq-al Qaeda relationship, suggests that the OSP, if connected to an "Iraqi intelligence cell" also headed by Douglas Feith which is described in the annex, sought to discredit and cast doubt on CIA analysis in an effort to establish a connection between Saddam Hussein and terrorism. In one instance, in response to a cautious CIA report, "Iraq and al-Qa'eda: A Murky Relationship", the annex relates that "one of the individuals working for the [intelligence cell led by Feith] stated that the June [2002] report, '...should be read for content only – and CIA's interpretation ought to be ignored.'"[5]

I was with you ... until the end.
In one way he was very skilled and had a backbone.
He was singularly focused and skilled with delivering permanent Leftist domestic entitlements and showed backbone by not letting lying or the Constitution get in the way.

Yes, I know foreign policy reared its head at times but his guiding principle to assure a weaker USA got him through those unfortunate distractions by lying while making believe it was in our interests.
For instance ... let's watch him strike a lousy nuke deal with Iran and then tell us how great it is.
On the plus side, by our reactions when he does we'll be able to determine who among us are total Obama fanboys to the end.
Reality be damned.

Its easy to see things in hindsight, but at the time we did what we thought was right.

I just gave you information which showed that the Bush Administration was actively manipulating intelligence to support their invasion plans. They used the tragedy of 9/11 as a catalyst to energize support for plans that exists prior to the attack. They were doing this in real-time, not in hindsight. I'm simply telling you about things that happened (because, you know, time is linear).

What do you do with the information? Shrug your shoulders and give Bush a passing grade as president.

funny....he got bin laden when his advisors said it was very risky and dangerous....got women equal pay,,saved crysler and no help from anyone in the house ..what the hell you expect..if he got everyone in this country 30 dollar per hour at work he still would be a bad president...give me a break

You must not have. Otherwise you would know that the GBCRR destroyed this country.

That's funny. Look at this latest mess. Birdbrain refuses to call the Chattanooga shooter what it is, a terrorist. He's done the same thing with every other attack against Americans since 2009/

GWB at least knew a terrorist when he saw it. Birdbrain Obama on the other hand refuses to call terrorists exactly what they are. I mean really, calling the Fort Hood massacres "workplace violence?" Refusing to call the Chattanooga shooter exactly what it is, a terrorist? Please. That guy wouldn't know a terrorist if one walked up to him

Do you know who loves terrorists? Bush because he refused to kill them. Unlike obama who has killed 30 of al qaeda's top leaders. Terrorists are scared of obama. They were not scared of bush.

Only when we look back will we see how much Obama has impacted the world for good.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bush captured HOW MANY terrorists that birdbrain is setting free from Gitmo? Surely you forgot how birdbrain exchanged 5 terrorists for the deserter. Bush would not have been that stupid.

Bush let his guard down and let 9-11 happen and failed to catch the guy responsible. At least obama has kept us safe. More than you can say about bush. His reckless policies led to thousands of americans dying.

That's just dumb. Terrorism is on the rise. I get that you love Obama, but the idea that terrorists fear him is just silly.

Right. That is your hope Im sure. And that is because you cant look around now and see any good that has come from his policies.
