Make it a capital crime to employ undocumented workers/ immigrants.

The answer is no, because the effort would not pass Constitutional challenge. The only way to really solve the immigration issue is the concert of immigration reform and economics.

As I said above, ignore that the constitution would prohibit it.

    I'm asking ---- IN THEORY.

would being possibly held to death penalty deter the practice of employing them.

    no.....not a capital crime

    but a crime with teeth...YES

first offence.......15% of prior years revenue as a fine

second offence........40% of prior years revenue, and every employee is checked to make sure they are currently legal

third offence....business is forfeited, sold, and creditors paid.....anything left goes to border patrol for budget

using % of revenue is fair.....that way it doesnt matter if a little mom & pop, or a corporate behemoth like Hormel meats

and every officer in the company is tagged as being part of a company that used illegals

if found at a second business, where same thing occurs...then jail time for that officer along with rest of fines

Much like eating children solved the Irish potato famine, yes.

Perhaps, but it would not be conclusive. No real reason it would, we have no singular business model. Who is the one that ultimately ends up facing a capital punishment charge? Company management, company owner, stock holder? How many are you planning to charge here?

Devistating fines would be enough, no need to shed blood over it.

Better border controls. Prompt removal of illegal immigrants to their home countries. Very stiff penalties for people engaged in human traficking. Serious fines for those who exploit illegal labour.
